2024 isn't over, but it has been a WILD ride. We grew. We loved. We lost. We wouldn't have had it any other way, because the way it happened is real.
We did 35 weddings with one to go in a few weeks.
We shot 2 music videos that we are really proud to share.
We made new friends.
I celebrated 5 years of sobriety.
I wrote 27 officiant scripts.
My dad passed away.
We got married.
Chris learned 26 new songs.
My grandma passed away.
Our nieces turned 1.
We choose not to travel for the first time in 9 years.
I took about a hundred videos at weddings and then failed to share most of them so far.
We booked 22 weddings for 2025 already.
So. Much. More.
I thought about waiting until the end of 2024 to make a post of this nature, but I have been trying to work with a social media presence instead of "doing it right". I have a hard time with posting because I'm an in-person person. I want to share our lives with you and our accomplishments, business ideas, milestones and help others achieve their goals of providing unique experiences for their own weddings and events. But I always find it hard to represent myself on a digital platform because sometimes it doesn't seem "real" or "special enough" through a screen, especially the energy that we bring is so much higher and has so much more depth than can ever be reflected in a recording. Maybe that's just fear and perfectionism, but don't we all suffer from that in some way? I want to keep trying to do it my way. Our way. Which might not be the "right way", but I promise you that it's real.
