It is with concrete weighted hearts that owners Breanne and Aaron have decided to no longer pursue getting back to doing art shows at The Factory. The municipal red tape has become too emotionally, financially, and physically exhausting.

The bright spot? We have a rare open studio space. We’ll be turning the art gallery into a private studio space. It’d be perfect for several artists to share or for someone who needs a larger space. $1500/mo all utilities and internet included. Email Aaron for more information [email protected]

Artists! There's an emergency relief fund available for you!

Now open, the first round of the Iowa Arts & Culture Emergency Relief Fund is accepting applications to provide one-time funding of $1,000 to eligible individual artists and musicians, and $2,500 to eligible arts nonprofits in Iowa who have experienced a loss of opportunity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Apply by this Friday, April 17.

The red couch/chair will be inside for indoor pictures, then I will have a set up with a vintage airstreamer that will be outside. The last 2 weekends of November and maybe sometime in December. Cazzie Hammond, Desa Irene, Iven Jones, and Shannantay Lewis, all members of the Rebel Art Alliance, share with us their 'why' in this week's edition of #MyWhyWednesday. Everyone at The Barnum Factory feels so lucky to be part of such an incredible and supportive community. These four brilliant people have not only added color to our walls via their mural but they help to provide the color to the soul of this beautiful building. Art is important to their bond and a way they spend quality time together.
