Had a wonderful time capturing Lydia and Drew's big day! When I heard everyone was asked to wear blue, I knew it would be beautiful with the perfect touches! Your photographer... the person you're in contact with months (if not a year or two) before your wedding. The only vendor that spends the WHOLE day with YOU. Really, the only one that stays in contact with you after the wedding while they edit your memories and design the album for your home.
Connecting with them, vibing with them, is SO important! Just as important is making sure they can vibe with you too.

Hey! I'm Anna. I may be one of the rare ones that won't say "I'd love to shoot your wedding". Because really, I'd love to meet you first and see if we're the right fit, knowing how important that is.
Have I dashed away from meetings as fast as I can, knowing the couple wasn't going to appreciate the work I put in because there was no connection between us (and honestly between themselves)? YUP!

Your marriage is so important, sacred, and valuable. Find that photographer that will serve you well so you can focus on those things as you start day ONE of, Lord willing, the best days of your life. ❤

Ended with a rainbow of promise.. you GUYS. My first nephew…the little baby I rocked to sleep many times, he’s ENGAGED. So so proud of the man Trevor has become. He’s a sweet, gentle, funny, and compassionate guy. Jerzi and Trevor, you two are a genuine couple and blessed to have one another. I can’t wait to watch you two grow as a couple and a family. What makes a great photographer and how do you know when you found one?
It’s a jaunting task at times.. would you be surprised if I tell you a good portfolio doesn’t always guarantee a great photographer? 🤯 Crazy, I know!

You can start there... but in the end, it’s the person with the expertise to know how to make you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Because let me tell you, there’s nothing worse then a nicely edited photo yet stiff poses that make you just look...well, not yourself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So know who to trust. Seek out reviews from others. Pay attention to the details of a gallery. Does that photographer document real moments that radiate joy? Do they have the attention to detail and aren’t afraid to make a suggestion knowing it will have a far better outcome? How do they handle a stressful moment? By crumbling from stress or gently making the situation better?
A great photographer is all of this and more. They will document your memories with ease. ❤
