I love working with clients to build catering menus that are unique and fit their needs perfectly. Options that allow your guests or attendees to customize their meal are a great way to give everyone something to enjoy. This year I've had several out of the box catering menus, two of my favorites were salad bars and trail mix bars. They were excellent options for a client's conference and allowed people the freedom to build their own salads and snacks during the day.

I love the traditions that come around with the holiday season. What are your family's favorites?
Here are a few of mine:
🎄 Decorating the tree - we always get Chinese food and spend the night together as a family decorating
🎄 Christmas pajamas! We get the boys new pajamas every year and have even been known to wear them when we ride the train in Boone.
🎄 Tuba Christmas! Shane plays Euphonium and Ethan plays Tuba so it's a fun concert to watch every year.
🎄 Some of the more uncommon gifts we have each year, like Colin's giant tub of Cheeseballs that he asks for each year.
🎄Rice Krispies Night - Gingerbread houses are fun but sometimes feel like you need to be an architect to get them to stand up. So instead we do Rice Krispies treats. Everyone gets their own mound and builds their creation.

Dinner Delights - May 31 Space Update

May has been a BUSY month and I wanted to share a space update with everyone! We started demo on May 9th and took out a wall and the office. The plumbing and HVAC are done. Electric is almost done. The new wall is up and has drywall. Now we have to skim-coat everything to make the walls look so much better and paint. Then I get to finish buying equipment and get everything organized for inspections and permits. I am hoping for an early August open. Fingers crossed, it continues to be a relatively smooth process! I have the best general contractor that has worked so hard to keep everything on track and moving along.

Happy National Strawberries and Cream Day! One of my favorite hacks when making these Strawberry Shortcake Shooters is to put the homemade whipped cream in a zipper bag. It's easy, disposable and when you zip it shut helps you avoid the whipped cream from sneaking out the top of a pastry bag.
