I can't emphasize enough how special this day was! It really reminds me of what truly matters. Sure, there's all the planning with colors, decorations, timelines, and everything that goes into it, but in the end, it's all about you and your partner tying the knot. The smiles on their faces said it all. Even if it had been pouring rain, these two would have just laughed it off and made their way to say "I do." Choosing Jack Sparrow as the officiant was not only entertaining but also created a lasting memory. Everything could have gone wrong (luckily, nothing did), but I could see that they wouldn't have cared because they knew that at the end of the day, it was all about love, laughter, and getting married. I truly adored witnessing their love story.

This will be one of the most personal and sweet wedding memories for me, and here is my side of the story, for their new story!

It was at the beginning of September that Robyn (my bride) contacted me. I was taking care of my mother as her health was declining at the time and was not able to take on weddings. During the next few days, I was thinking about what my family would face in the coming days, so I waited to respond a couple of days.

I received a response from her almost instantly, within a few minutes. I was surprised to hear that she and her fiancé had both lost their spouses and how fortunate it was for them to have found each other through a Facebook group for widowers a couple of years ago. She also mentioned that she had kids and grandkids, while her fiancé Jay did not.

I wasn't completely certain where my thoughts were leading me that day. However, as soon as I caught a glimpse of her story, I felt a connection and realized that I needed it to inspire me and help me understand the purpose of life. I chose to keep my own struggles to myself and maintain a professional demeanor. All I wanted was to listen to her story. Little did she know, her new marriage held a special significance for me.

She was deeply in love, and together with Jay, they found joy in each other's company while exploring the depths of the ocean through scuba diving. Their previous 35-year marriages was a testament of their commitments, and their bravery to begin anew, was truly inspiring to me.

As our email conversations continued and we eventually spoke on the phone, she opened up to me about the heartbreaking loss of her husband to cancer. She shared with me how they had made the most of his last months together, fulfilling their deepest desires and dreams. It was a bittersweet moment for me, filled with both joy and pain, as I listened to her story. Deep down, I knew that there was a greater purpose behind Robyn coming into my life. Without hesitation, I told my husband that he would be the one capturing her and Jay's photographs. Despite having plans to attend a car festival in Texas (as my husband is a passionate import car enthusiast), he didn't show any signs of disappointment. Instead, he understood the significance of this opportunity and willingly embraced the responsibility of documenting Robyn and Jay's journey.

The timing couldn't have been worse. We had planned to meet in few days, but fate had other plans. The day before our scheduled meeting, my beloved mother departed for heaven. It was a heartbreaking moment, and I had to inform Robyn about the situation instead of maintaining a professional demeanor. Surprisingly, she responded with genuine sympathy and understanding. In that moment, I realized the truth in her words - it was a blessing that my mother's suffering had come to an end, but the void left behind was immeasurable.

Life can be tough, and it may feel like everything is going wrong. But amidst the hardships, there is solace in knowing that you are not alone. Meet Robyn and Jay, two souls who found each other in the midst of life's chaos. They discovered that when you have someone to share your journey with, the burdens become lighter and the joys become multiplied. Together, they realized that life is better when it is shared. So, even in the darkest moments, remember that there is always hope and happiness waiting to be found when you open your heart to others.

Best way to start off 2024 wedding season!

I want to give a big shout out to these incredible vendors that made this day possible!

Tables: Lyza with Bella Fleurs Events LLC is always so sweet. At the very last minute due to changes she was able to drop of table and pick them up. Very flexible and always eager to help.

Venues/rentals: incredible venues out in 30a! Hollie is so amazing with 30A Beach Girls She really went above and beyond to make this day go as smoothly as possible.

Catering: Nicki with Royal Palm Grille was able to go with all the changes we threw at her! The presentation and the tastes of all her cusines was on point!

Videography: Danielle with Emerald Coast Films who was able to take on the timeline hours before and make this day happen on her own birthday was beyond amazing to watch!

Dj: Marcus with DJ Fire/116 who was able to setup anywhere we needed him to. His setup was very very professional! Even caught a ride back to the reception since he was the first one headed back!


When you have twists and turns it makes it that much more of an incredible memory! And lots of candid moments! Nothing beats living in the moment and taking it in.

What a dream wedding day! This one was one for the books! Having the same name partners, day apart anniversary and same name daughters also, when I was helping with the name calling the password to the phone was one number off. Too much of a coincidence. The wonders of the world works in mysterious ways! I had such a blast and felt such a connection with this big day!

It was by far the toughest wedding weeks. Not because of the work load but because what was going on emotionally. With that said some may have not known but I was shown so much kindness and patience this year especially this last 2 weeks. It's a new outlook moving forward. I love what I do and this past Saturday brides made me realize I am doing what I love and keeping me busy has made it a little easier. Thank you. She would of loved this design 😢

It's with the heaviest heart my mother left this Earth. Please pray for her. And I thank all my clients who have been so patient and kind. You may not have known, but on days that were hard, you helped me get through. You had no idea you were brightening up my day. We never know what's going on behind closed doors, so we always treat people with gratitude and kindness.
