Bese Saka Cultural Arts

Bese Saka Cultural Arts Bese Saka (a sack of kola nuts) is an Adinkra symbol of affluence, power, abundance, plenty, togetherness and unity -all things we wish for our community.

MISSION:
To provide a space for professionals to share their talents with the surrounding and extended community. A gathering place for Detroit’s cultural community, Bese Saka Cultural Arts Center is a resource for developing trades, crafts, and talents in our community. The activities taking place at Bese Saka include dance, music, martial arts, academic enrichment, fitness education, cultural st

udies, economic independence counseling and more. We will develop a long-standing institution established for the purpose of bringing community and families together in order to support ourselves in continuing to move forward -cultivating our common goals of:

- community/world activism

- the refinement, and reinforcement of our values for spiritual, intellectual,
and physical growth/transformation

- preparedness for future challenges. This is a place for fostering education, creativity, healing, gratitude, and joy.

Shamanic Reiki Sessions
This is not your auntie's Reiki session. Well, hers was great and she got the job done to help get you back in a balanced state. And for the next steps in your evolution, Mama Osa will tackle each Chakra point with care, conferring with your spirit guides and ancestors along the way. She will tap out areas in need of attention and literally spell out the root causes of any blockages, outlined in her hand-written notes. (all while the dreamy - eyed child resting on her mama's back looks on.)

When you get home, ground yourself by walking barefoot on soil (Your system is electrical, you need to be grounded.)
In the following hours - days reflect and unpack the new insights you will gather and process for yourself. And say "thank you" to your creator for the gifts of each experience.
