Yesterday was one of the most important days for Fun-Sized to celebrate...my birthday!!! I do NOT play when it comes to celebrating my big day. I'm in a huge transition time with moving to a different state, so I didn't do as much as I would usually do, but I did make sure to do right by my sweet tooth.

made my 28th birthday a "sweet" one with her banana pudding personal cheesecake and her peach cobbler and strawberry minis! Some of the best cheesecake I've had! Please make a request for her cheescake to be one of the featured desserts when you book a dessert table with Fun-Sized!...or just order from her on a regular day 😂!

"Everybody in my city say What Up Doe?!?" I'm not new to Detroit, but my business is! I'm Shaina and this is my family. I've been married to my bomb husband for 5 years, our son is abt to turn 2 in November, and we have one on the way this January! I started Fun-Sized in October 2019, so our 1 year anniversary is approaching soon! I wanted to start this business to mix something I love doing with bringing in extra income. It's been a leap of faith in every way, but something I'm so happy to have done.

Happy to share Part 1 of the exciting news! Bloomington, IN will always have a special place in my heart for many reasons, but especially because this is where I started my event-planning journey. Before I decided to go into business for myself, Bloomington is where I began owning more of my interests and giving time to things that I like that weren't related to academics. It was terrifying for me, but I'm so glad I decided to do it.

Thank you to all those who have supported Fun-Sized by encouraging me, praying for me, liking a post on my business page or paying for my services. It really means a lot! I'm still learning, but I'm ready to take things to the next level in my city! Bloomington will always be a second home, but Detroit has my heart! I'm excited to bring more fun to families in the "D"!

Tumble, Flip, and Twirl! One of my favorite tweens had her 12th birthday party. She chose all her colors and the theme...kind of...lol. She wanted a "Dance Mom" theme, so and I made it age appropriate 😂 We loved putting together this mini dessert display and favor boxes for a sweet girl who loves gymnastics, her friends, and getting into the pool. June 19, 1865 is the day that African Americans celebrate the end of slavery! While others celebrate their freedom on 4th of July (1776), that wasn't the case yet for Black people in America. Now you know!

Things get hard and may not turn out the way you planned. The process of getting to your goal can take alot out of you. But when you don't quit, it's always worth it in the end. You learn something new or you actually do reach your goal and have a great outcome...even though you had to fight to get there.

Contrary to some beliefs, Black entrepreneurs have innovative ideas and great work ethic. Most products and services provided by black businesses are not of less quality. Most black businesses do not have shady business practices.

Most black businesses are trying to make their dream a reality while serving the community. Black businesses are bomb too. Black Business Owners Matter too! We got this!

This is one of the guys I'll be celebrating this year for Father's Day....my husband! He's a great example and such a big source of love for our son. He has great strengths in areas that I'm weak and might fail in passing down wisdom to our son if I was doing this on my own...but thankfully I don't have to.

A Fun Fact abt Me! - Some people don't even know that I'm a grown woman when I show up to a meeting or venue in preparation for an event lol. I'm short and petite...4ft 10 1/2 inches to be exact.

Yesterday marked 2 months that Audrey and Jerian got married! I'm glad that I could help this couple say "I do" even when things were uncertain, but weddings are not my favorite yall! I'm happy to help with month-of or day-of coordination, but takes care of the whole shebang! Right after you say yes, yall kiss, and he gets up off that knee...call . She's the bomb!
