Swing by Sunday for another pop-up market in our parking lot!
We’ll have hot food, smoked meat, hibiscus lemonade and more. There will be vendors selling sea moss, clothing, art, herbs, henna, plants and more. Plus art activities for kids (and adults) and will be playing music!

We're doing another one!
Join us Sunday, May 19th 11-3pm for an outdoor market in our parking lot.
Uncle Herm is in town and will be spinning records, plus we'll have vendors selling handmade goods, produce, herbs and sea moss, and activities for kids! Plus there will be lots of food to eat!

We're hiring!
We are currently looking for a prep cook and dishwasher for our Woodward location. Because we are a small yet multi-faceted business, our ideal candidate should also be willing to handle some cashier responsibilities, including taking orders and talking to customers. This is a good position for someone looking for part-time work that could expand to full-time, cares about healthy food and sustainability, wants to deepen their connection to the local food economy, and is looking for an active/physical job. We are also gearing up for our catering season and are looking for folks with service experience to join our off-site catering crew. This is an independent contractor position with random hours (ie often weekends), BOH and FOH duties, and can be high-paced.

BeBe, repping her t-shirt, made a delicious lu'au with taro leaves grown by our friends last summer that we blanched and froze. Taro leaves are high in oxalic acid (which can also be found in spinach, for example), so the leaves are cooked in several batches of fresh water to remove it before turning it into a delicious, nourishing stew with ginger, lemongrass, Thai chilis from and kalo (taro) root.
If you are a meat lover, we also have a version with smoked brisket!

Today’s the last day for soba noodles before we bring back our other favorite . The soba noodles are tossed in a ginger, lemon, cayenne and soy dressing and topped with roasted carrots and pan-fried tofu.
