Sometimes we don’t realize the best way to change our fruit is by going back to heal the root. I’ve always loved expressing my thoughts and emotions through poetry, but never felt comfortable to share it with the world. Today, I push past that fear and present myself in the most vulnerable form. This is dedicated to the younger version of us that still lives and is tucked away. If there ever was a moment downloaded onto my retinas that I see everyday I wake up, it’s this one. It’s the reason why our mission is to change the world one petal at a time. When I held my first class June 2022 I had no clue what I was doing. Me, an instructor? Me, an inspiration? Me, the face of my business? Things I never aspired to be, but my purpose called me to it and God equipped me for it. I never even expected to teach young ladies how to bloom from within, but I did. The best form of healing is with words alone. So I intentionally crafted my story of my valley into a poem. I’ve only ever did my poetry in front of family for my granny. So, doing this was like having her there with me that day. I know she would be proud of me, and even the fact that I know psalms 23.
