It was a very chilly night in Wixom but all of your smiling and appreciative faces made it a wonderful evening!! Now that I96 is finally!!! not under construction anymore and we can get to Wixom in 45 instead of 75 min we will try to come more often this year 😍
Our next food truck event is on February 15th! We will be at Brewery Faisan in Detroit for their First Mini-Market (flyer attached) to bring you the German goodies and there will be 3 small businesses that will be set up inside for your fun shopping experience. We will be back at Host Utica in March from 3/4-4/5! We got asked so many times by so many people and really wanted to make it happen - and here we go 😁 We are working on getting our crew together for that and for reopening at Lagerhaus on the weekends in March and to come up with a great menu for both occasions. We will keep you posted as soon as we have more infos available.
We are looking forward to start in a wonderfully busy 2025 and to see you all of you out there and at Lagerhaus 5! 🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸

You might see a lot of small businesses taking off for a few weeks in the beginning of the year. You might think how can they afford that? Or why are they not open when you wanna go and try them out now that you have time? Or maybe you think about why they have to take off for so long when you just have a few days off over the year? Let me tell you something that I never thought about before starting in the hospitality business. Most small businesses do not have any weekends off during the year AND the days when they are not open like maybe Mondays or Tuesdays - it is NOT free time. They are shopping, prepping, planning, organizing, preparing taxes, getting their staff ready, writing invoices, following up with orders, paying bills, shifting people and things around to make everything work and soooo much more! So basically they are not having a day off for weeks or months in a row. The hospitality business is a business of pure love and often insanity 😂 And once a year - we DO HAVE TO get away from that for more than a day here and there - We just simple HAVE TO!! And the best time to do that is early in the year. So here we go - We are taking off for a few weeks!! We cleaned our kitchen at Lagerhaus #5 today for about 5 hours with 3 ppl and moved every single shelf, table and piece of equipment and now we are done for a few weeks 🥳 We will keep you posted when we will start back up 😁 Thanks for a fabulous 2024 and we will see you this year at Lagerhaus No.5 or at the Food Truck 😘 🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸 GO LIONS!! 🏈💙🤍🦁

Yesterday we closed out the DeutschTroit 2024 season! And nothing would have worked better for Shawn and myself than to be at Lagerhaus 5 for that! We will be closed at Lagerhaus at least until February and then decide when we re-open there and what days in the beginning of the season. Lagerhaus No.5 will be mostly closed until January 16th and then reopen for the weekends. It sure was a very special year for us and we are happy for all the opportunities and people we met! ❤️ Looking forward to a few weeks of sleeping in and doing whatever we wanna do (maybe even absolutely nothing! LOL) Cheers to a challenging but fabulous 2024 and an even better 2025! We hope that you all Rutscht gut rüber in’s neue Jahr 2025 morgen Nacht! Come to Urbanrest Brewing Company on Wolcott and party with us as Shawn will DJ there into 2025 (no DeutschTroit - just really good music)! 🥳🎉🎊🍾

Today is our last day at Lagerhaus 5 before we are going on Winter break until sometime in February (Lagerhaus 5 will be back open later in January!)! Last chance to get the great German food you love for a few weeks 😉 And we are taking off with a bang!! magically made some happen 😍 Very limited amounts but we have them - and you should get them 🎉
