The beginning of their forever 🫶🏽 Such a sweet love these two have. My favorite part about this day was is that this was supposed to be a surprise proposal; but while I was on my way Nick text me and told me he was too excited and couldn’t wait — so he as proposed has she walked down the stairs to leave.

Proposal stories are my absolute favorite. Cheers to forever N+K. ✨

A little Seaside, FL loving w/ Caitlin + Kevin! Honestly, so hard to decided which photos to post — more to come. 🌴✨The architecture, the design, the landscape, the trees. Seaside was stunning.

One of those “pinch me” moments.

Early 2023 I stumbled upon 30a, FL and fell in love, immediately. From the photos and videos I saw I just knew I had to visit. Long story short, I met a new friend at a gathering for vendors in the wedding industry and we hit it off. She asked me what dream location I’d love to photograph in and I said with excitement, “I’m not sure if you’ve heard of it, but it’s 30a.” Her eyes wide, she said “I lived there, I just moved to Michigan from there!”

And now, one year and some months later — I was able to bike thru all that the charming 30a has to offer with my husband by my said. The cherry on top was that I was able to do an engagement session there, with their wedding celebration to bring me back.

Hoping this to be the first of many trips to come.

Over the past 12 months it was my goal to get into Chicago’s market for photography. I remember hearing from an educator “If you want to get into a certain market, you have to go into that market.” I always got tripped up on that phrase — to be honest, I thought I had to have the perfect fashion and certain photography work to “get in” or to “fit it.” But, the reality is, I just simply needed to go… with my work and staying true to who I am.

Last year, I began to intentionally take trips to Chicago. The first one was with my family… three kids, my husband, a giant stroller too big to fit thru any stores/elevator doors (never brought that one back). We came, we ate and I documented the trip. Then, we came back for a date weekend, then I started to book engagement sessions… and took steps to connect with Chicago wedding vendors — hence hosting my first solo Chicago editorial this summer! The list goes on — and the cherry on top was booking my first Chicago wedding… C+K, big love for you guys.

All that to say, if you’re desiring to get into a market, then go! Dream big — skies the limit. 🤍🏙️
