When it came time to decide what to get our dad for his birthday, Ash & I came up with this idea. These fire trucks are some heā€™s been collecting since 1979. We also included his challenge coin and a custom helmet shield.

Update: there hasnā€™t been a lot of resin pouring happening over here & hereā€™s why: Resin needs to be poured & cure in a temperature controlled environment. Unfortunately since the weather has been so cold, the temperature in my studio doesnā€™t stay consistently warm at night. Good news is- itā€™s been warm(er) this weekend so Iā€™ve been back to pouring! Got to send these special pieces home recently, both pieces were made from memorial flowers

After the pouring process is complete, all pieces are given time to cure before sanding starts. This process starts with a low grit, ends with 3000 grit, and takes hours to complete.

Lets put this wedding bouquet away - weā€™ll check back in on it in a couple of weeks!

This small arch & 6ā€ M are done in the pouring process, next step is sanding!

Had a day off from my 8-4 so it was full of top coats & sanding
