Auditions for Cinderella’s Glass Slipper

Date: Sunday, November 24th, 2013

Location: A Step Above Dance Academy 3041 County St. Somerset, MA
Ages: 8-18
Rehearsals: Monday, Wednesday & Friday
Cast Announcement: Saturday November 30th - via email
1st Read through: Monday December 9th - location to be announced
Performances: March 8th & 9th, 2014 at BCC Fall River

This play is NOT the Disney version of Cinderella, nor is it the Rogers and Hammerstein version. It's a very funny musical with several speaking roles plus a chorus. Boys and girls ages 8-18 will be cast; however, the major roles will be cast by older actors. This is a funny play. It has serious moments, but it is a comedy. We will be looking for actors who make us laugh.

For the audition, each actor must prepare a song. Each actor will also be asked to present a short monologue and do a cold reading from the script. Please note that parents will not be permitted in the audition rooms.

Casting approximately 30 actors, singers, dancers, ensemble. Characters include: Fairy Godmother, Godmother Assistant, Prince Charming, Cinderella, Stepmother, Step Sisters, Mouse, Cat, Pumpkin Head, Queen, Captain, Lieutenant, Majordomo, Troubadour, Ladies & Lords & Citizens.
