We definitely had a blast with Jordan's First Blast Off! Although the heat was so disrespectful, we survived! The birthday boy and his guests enjoyed everything! Love is a beautiful thing! #LovewiththeLunkins was a perfect day from start to finish. It was filled with so much love! It was absolutely perfect from beginning to end - from the branding to the entertainment, from the decor to the food!

So, let’s me just say if yesterday was any indication of how 2023 will be, I might need to start over already! We were challenged with a Bougee’ western barbecue theme! And you know we love themes - especially something different! As a planner and decorator, you always pray that everything will work out as planned, but if not, you always have to have a back up plan! Well yesterday, we had another first! About and hour and a half into the party, we lost electricity at the venue. So, the planner in me immediately goes into “fix it” mode! I started looking for the breaker box only to find out the entire area lost power! There was an accident and someone hit the light pole near the venue. So needless to say, the power was not restored. Thanks to Louisiana humidity, it started to warm up fairly quickly. We were able to sing happy birthday in the dark with some sparkling candles before the cake started to melt. Although the night didn’t go as planned😬, job well done to my client Kendrick for surprising his wife with her surprise birthday soirée! 📸 by Marque Anthony

Southern University's Barristers' Ball

We had the pleasure of providing the decor for the Southern University Law Center's Barristers' Ball. The Barristers' Ball is an annual event held at most law schools in common law countries such as the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom. It is generally a formal/semi-formal affair, often near the end of the academic year, conducted by the institution's Student Bar Association as a school-wide gathering. For this year's ball, the theme was the "Met Gala". Thank you for choosing Simply Bougee'!
