Farmstand this Saturday, May 11! This will likely be our one and only farmstand this year.

Come by 137 Silver Street in Dover anytime after 9am- I’ll stay open until we’re sold out. Tulip bunches will be $25 and $15 for specialty daffodil bunches. Cash or Venmo accepted.

I recommend coming early - we’ll have limited supply. Weather caused a pretty severe tulip crop failure, but everything that’s available will be out on the stand!

Using local dried flowers for your wedding can be a more sustainable option later in the fall or winter, and-they’re called everlastings for a reason- you’ll be able to keep them for years.

I am not much of a crier, but this wedding for Kevin and Sean has made me cry happy tears on more than one occasion. I feel so grateful to have been able to work with them and get to know them.

I really leaned on other grower/florists to come up with just the right colors, which highlighted the generosity and community within this group of special people.

Things are slow over here this time of year. I’m planning for next season’s weddings, ordering supplies, drawing maps of the field to figure out what goes in each row.

I have a wedding in July that’s lavender and lemon… I’m thinking a lot of these flowers I used in early summer bunches will work!

Sooo excited to finally share these! This is my first dried flower wedding of the season and I got to hand them off to Dylan and Emily today for their ceremony on top of a mountain ❤️

2022 is supposed to be the biggest year for weddings since 1984! If you’re getting married, or know someone who is, let’s chat!

I just updated our wedding page with the pieces we’re offering this season and price ranges.

My sustainable designs are curated just for you, full of seasonal flowers grown here on the farm.

I’ll also be offering everlasting (dried) wedding pieces if your date is after late October. I set aside flowers all season for drying so I can create bouquets, flower combs, and boutonierres that will last forever.

I am very excited to announce we will be offering Home Garden Consultations this year! Consultations will be one-on-one and on-site. I will help you identify your goals, evaluate your space, and give you information specific to your situation.

I can help you design a low-maintenance perennial garden, start your first vegetable garden, figure out where to plant fruit trees, create a plan to grow flowers for cutting - anything your little gardener’s heart desires. And we can get started now to get you ready for spring.
Trying something new can be so intimidating and there’s an overwhelming amount of information out there. Let me help you get started!

We’ve added a spring membership this year, which will include specialty tulips and daffodils!

These make the perfect sustainable Valentine’s gift. In lieu of imported cut flowers in February, give an entire summer of local, seasonal flowers ❤️

I’m feeling especially grateful for my female friendships today. There are so many cheap quotes about how special women friends are (you know, the kind that you see painted on a wine glass at gift shops, or, if you’re my age, posted on facebook in college. Cringe.) But none of them capture the essence of sisterhood and holistic support and the perfect mix of gentleness and toughness and never letting you feel too pathetic even when you totally are.

If you need a special way to tell a friend how special she is, consider one of our CSAs. Tulips like these will be part of our four week Spring Bulb CSA, usually starting at the end of April.

Ammi is probably the most whimsical flower I grow. It also looks the most like fireworks!

Also known as white dill or false Queen Anne’s lace, this member of the carrot family contains photosensitive chemicals in it’s sap. Get some of this sap on your skin, expose yourself to UV rays, and in about a day, you’ll have burns and blisters. Phytophotodermatitis. Learned this the hard way.

But ammi isn’t the only plant that has these chemicals - many plants in the carrot family have the same effect. Watch out in particular for wild parsnip while out hiking!

Boutonierres are one of my favorite pieces to make for weddings. They have to be small, so I have to be discriminating when choosing what to include. I want them to compliment the bridal bouquet without being too matchy-matchy. There are endless creative wrapping possibilities. This one was fire against the groom’s navy blue suit jacket.

Daffodils are one of the best investments - both for homeowners and farmers. The variety of daffodils available is amazing - all kinds of shapes, textures, fragrances, and colors - hardly any of them look like the standard yellow variety we’re so used to seeing.

Daffodil bulbs multiply, so within a few years, you’ll have twice as many as you started with. They’re also critter resistant (unlike tulips) so you won’t have deer or bunnies trying to eat the bulbs or flowers.

Plus, after crocuses and snow drops, they’re the first flowers in the spring! They’re so cheerful and encouraging when we all need signs of spring.
