A big shout out & thank you to Shawnee County Fire District 4 for responding to the DCC. And special thank you to the family that had rented the bldg today & called to report an odor. They all kept an electrical problem from becoming something terrible. So, temporarily electricity to the building is shut off & the bldg is closed until we get it repaired. Please call the DCC if you have questions. 785-256-6700. Thank you.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2023 Pull For The Dover Community Center Sporting Clays Shoot! We had 89 shooters and were very thankful for the great weather!

We’re excited to see everyone at the Pull For The Dover Community Center - Sporting Clays Shoot at Ravenwood tomorrow!!

- Come between 8:00am - 11:00am to shoot.
- Register to shoot when you arrive.
- Door prizes for the first 50 shooters!!
- Round 1: 50 targets, Round 2: 50 targets
- Lunch included for all shooters! Lunch will be served from 10:30am - 12:00pm.
- For every target hit, participants will get a ticket to put in one of our over 30 bucket prizes!!
- Bucket prizes will be drawn after everyone has shot and trophies given.

Thank you to the awesome MV students & staff who showed up and really helped clean the DCC and do a lot of cleaning out storage areas that had been long overlooked; and, those that walked our roads and the cemetery to pick up trash. The DCC would like to welcome Shawnee County Bunny Bunch 4-H Club. They will be holding their Single Youth only 4-H Show & Clinic Saturday, January 21, 2023. Note: Judging begins at noon. Public is welcome.

The Dover Community Center Board is welcoming community minded people to fill upcoming vacated spots on our board. It's a good time to come to a meeting & see what we're about, ask questions. We will be meeting Nov 9th and Dec 14th at 6pm at the Community Center. Fill free to contact any board member; you can call or text the DCC at 785-256-6700; or, just show up to one of our meetings.
Board members are: Dave Lesperance, Pam Tennison, Molly Browning, Chris Campbell, Roger Sage, Connie Miller, Rich Bassett and Debbi Childers.

Sharing the link for the Rob George Memorial 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk on behalf of the Dover Heritage Day Board. Both races will go through Dover and should be a great time! The online signup link is for both races. If you're looking for a fun time to kick off Heritage Day, the Heritage Day Bd encouraged you to go for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk! A big thank you to the awesome MVHS Community Cleanup crew who came out on this cold windy morning. Students & Teachers/Staff were all awesome. They jumped in and did an outstanding job doing needed spring reorganizing/cleaning/purging inside the DCC and cleaning up trash outside (and with all this wind of late , I’m sure there was plenty.
