✨Get To Know The Wrestler✨

🟡Hello and happy Monday! I hope you all are enjoying the winter weather and staying safe! I’m back with our LAST post!! For this week we have……

⚫️ Johnny Vega!! He is 1/2 of The Stunners!

Questions:

We will start off with some basic questions!

* What is your favorite type of music?

-I listen to all types of music so it really depends on how I'm feeling at the time, but I'd say I mostly listen to classic rock.

* Favorite band you have ever seen live?

-Never been to a concert. Not really my thing.

* Favorite movie?

-The Karate Kid. The original of course. Also as a huge horror movie fan, I have to shout out Child's Play 2 and The Evil Dead.

* How does Johnny Vega like to spend his time outside of the ring?

-Watching movies, reading, and playing with my dog.

Now for the wrestling questions!

* When did you first get into professional wrestling?

-I don't remember honestly. I've been a wrestling fan for as long as I can remember, and I've always wanted to be a wrestler.

* What is one type match you would love to have during your professional wrestling career?

-I'd probably have to go with a steel cage or a ladder match.

* Who is one professional wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to sit down with and rack their brain for wrestling knowledge?

-Shawn Michaels. He's one of my favorite wrestlers of all time and one of my biggest influences.

* Who is one wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to have a match with?

-Shawn Michaels.

* What is the Goal for Johnny Vega individually?

-To continue putting on the best show possible for the fans and continuing to improve personally. Last year was crazy for me and I feel like I accomplished a lot. I hope I can do just as much this year.

* What is your future goal for The Stunners?

-To continue climbing our way to the top and having a good time on the way up. We've definitely got our eyes on the PWR Tag Team Championships this year.

🟡Hello and happy Monday! I’m back with our fourth post!! For this week we have……

⚫️ Emmerich Gaunt! He is 1/2 of The Guard!

Questions:

We will start off with some basic questions!

* What is your favorite type of music?

-I enjoy all kinds of music, from classical to rap, but I'd have to say metal as it's gotten me through some tough times over the years.

* Favorite band you have ever seen live?

-AC/DC during the Black Ice Tour: Angus really doesn't age like the rest of us.

* Favorite movie?

-This varies from time to time throughout the series, but I love the Evil Dead films! All for different reasons, but 2 has the best moments all around, so we'll go with that (for now).

* How does Emmerich Gaunt like to spend his time outside of the ring?

-If I'm not spending time with my wife and daughter, I'm either helping to teach at the Seijitsu Dojo several nights a week or playing games. I've enjoyed drawing and painting as of late, too.

Now for the wrestling questions!

* When did you first get into professional wrestling?

-I met Bruiser Graham through my tag partner Tarin and his now-wife, THE Hayley. I had my first match in a Battle Royal for the BWF Championship and went from there.

* What is one type match you would love to have during your professional wrestling career?

-A Ladder Match would be fun! I love the psychology of them and they're more-often-than-not very exciting.

* Who is one professional wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to sit down with and rack their brain for wrestling knowledge?

-I would love to have spoken with Randy "Macho Man" Savage on his character work.

* Who is one wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to have a match with?

-Rob Van Dam, as he's my influence for becoming a martial artist.

* What is the Goal for Emmerich Gaunt individually?

-I would love to become a Heavyweight Champion first of all, but my overall goal is for my daughter to shine in this business one day.

* What is your future goal for The Guard?

-I would love to hold Tag Team Gold with my brother one day, as should be the goal for every tag team

🟡Hello!! Hopefully you all are getting ready for the holidays! I’m back with our third post!! For this week we have……

⚫️Drew Toney! He is 1/2 of The Stunners!

Questions:

We will start off with some basic questions!

* What is your favorite type of music?

- I don’t discriminate towards anything really, but I always listen to rock from the 80’s up to the 2000’s and country. You fw Creed?

* Favorite band you have ever seen live?

- This is probably shocking, but I’ve actually never been to a concert. I’m not really big on large crowds, not really my thing. Which is odd to say as a wrestler, but I guess to me it’s different. But, yeah never been to a concert.

* Favorite movie?

- I don’t know if this is gonna get laughed at or not, but it’s Toy Story. It’s a classic.

* How does Drew Toney like to spend his time outside of the ring?

- I really just do me and try to stay out the way. I’m pretty simple. I like to spend time with my family, my friends, and my dogs. I love football as well.

Now for the wrestling questions!

* When did you first get into professional wrestling?

- I’ve been into wrestling as long as I can remember. I’ve wanted to do this since I was able to talk honestly. I got to start training when I was 17 in June of 2021 with The Guard and then I debuted a little over a year later in September 2022 at 18 years old.

* What is one type match you would love to have during your professional wrestling career?

- I’ve seen a steel cage match is popular on here so far and that sounds like a lot fun, but to throw another one out there, I’ll say Tables, Ladders, and Chairs - a TLC match.

* Who is one professional wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to sit down with and rack their brain for wrestling knowledge?

- There’s so many, but I think I’m gonna go Shawn Michaels. It’s really close with a ton of other guys, but I don’t think there’s anyone better to learn from and from the outside looking in, seems to be a great teacher. Again, there’s so many others I could name.

* Who is one wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to have a match with?

- Another tough one and I can name so many. I think Shawn Michaels would be my answer here too, but to give a different answer I’m gonna say Eddie Guerrero. Guys like him, Kurt Angle, AJ Styles, and Rey Mysterio are so smooth and make it look so easy. I could talk to you all day about wrestling.

* What is the Goal for Drew Toney individually?

- Keep getting better and keep working towards the top.

* What is your future goal for The Stunners?

- Wrestling’s been so good to us this year. Without a doubt it’s to become the PWR Tag Team Champions and we plan to achieve that goal in 2025.

⚫️This week we have The Voodoo Child Zachary James!

Questions:

We will start off with some basic questions!

* What is your favorite type of music?

-I have a really wide music taste and listen to just about everything, but if I had to pick my favorites they would be hard rock, classic rock, and 80s country

* Favorite band you have ever seen live?

-I definitely have to say Mudvayne. They were a huge part of me finding myself in my teenage years and finally getting to see them live was one of the best moments of my life.

* Favorite movie?

-That one's easy, Saving Private Ryan.

* How does Zachary James like to spend his time outside of the ring?

-I'm a home body and I love spending time with my wife and son making memories. I also love hunting, fishing, and working on bettering myself in any way I can.

Now for the wrestling questions!

* When did you first get into professional wrestling?

-I've been in love with wrestling as long as I can remember. When I was in the 6th grade I started amateur wrestling, after that ran it's course I thought I was done with combat sports and kind of gave up on my wrestling dreams. Then I met The Guard in September of 2021, they offered to train me, and I actually made my debut a year later in the exact same building.

* What is one type match you would love to have during your professional wrestling career?

-I'd have to say a cage match. There's just something about being locked in a ring with your opponent knowing neither of you can escape and no one can interfere until one of you wins that really appeals to the competitor in me.

* Who is one professional wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to sit down with and rack their brain for wrestling knowledge?

-Without a doubt Dusty Rhodes. Not only is he an idol of mine, he had the greatest mind for professional wrestling in the history of the sport. A 5 minute conversation with that man could change the trajectory of anybody's career.

* Who is one wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to have a match with?

-Vader. I've had a few comparisons to him in my career plus he was a big, strong, freakishly athletic guy, it would be unlike any match I've ever had, I'd have to bring my A game, and that challenge sounds so fun.

* What is the Goal for Zachary James individually?

-The goal is to be the PWR heavyweight champion and give the PWR fans a champion they can believe in that fights for them.

* Is there one local wrestler you are itching to get into the ring with?

-I'd really love the opportunity to wrestle Sid Myers one more time. I'm no fan of the guy, but early in my career he pushed me to my limit and made me up my game. He's always brought out the best in me and I'd love to see how we match up now that I've gotten alot more experience.

⚫️Hello you wonderful wrestling fans! Did any of you make it out to the Christmas Parade this weekend? It was a cold but fun night for PWR!

🟡We here at PWR care so much about our fans and supporters. We thought why not meet up with the amazing talent we have and see if we can schedule interviews with them!

⚫️With that being said…….. We are going to be doing a “Get To Know The Wrestler” post every Monday for the month of December! We will be asking the wrestler a series of questions so that YOU the fan can get to know them! Anything from what their favorite type of music is, to what their goal is within their wrestling career!

🟡Up first we have:

TARIN GAUNT! He is 1/2 of The Guard

Questions:

* What is your favorite type of music?

-Metal, for sure.

* Favorite band you have ever seen live?

-Nekrogoblikon is fantastic. They toured with GWAR and Crobot when I saw them, and the full set was great. It's hard to truly pinpoint an absolute favorite since I've seen Sabaton, Judas Priest, ACDC in 2009, Coheed & Cambria, Rob Zombie, and a few more over the years.

* Favorite movie?

-Independence Day. I know it's not a common favorite, but I've loved it since I was a kid with its story, filming direction, and awesome practical effects.

* How does Tarin Gaunt like to spend his time outside of the ring?

-Writing, ready, playing games. I like to keep my mind occupied. I also run a few tabletop role-playing games.

Now for the wrestling questions!

* When did you first get into professional wrestling?

-My first march was a battle royal for BWF on February 8, 2020, but I started watching wrestling around 18 years ago.

* What is one type of match you would love to have during your professional wrestling career?

-There's actually a couple I am interested in. The first I can think of would be a Tables Match. A Cage Match would also be really cool to be a part of.

* Who is one professional wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to sit down with and rack their brain for wrestling knowledge?

-Shawn Michaels. His crowd work and ex*****on in the ring is phenomenal, and I think there's a lot I could learn from his teachings.

* Who is one wrestler (dead or alive) you would love to have been able to have a match with?

-Call me a ma*****st, but I would have loved to be thrown around by Bam Bam Bigelow.

* What is the Goal for Tarin Gaunt individually?

-I want to entertain wherever I go: fans come for a show and I plan to give them one. I also want to be a good role model for the kids that come to our shows.

* What is your future goal for The Guard?

—Just keep rocking as partners and brothers. Being PWR Tag Team Champions along with way wouldn't hurt...

Good afternoon, everyone! We hope you are excited as we are for the PWR At Hallow's End: KRC Smackdown wrestling event at the Kenbridge Softball field 129 N Maple St in Kenbridge, VA. Doors open at 5 pm with Bell Time at 6 pm. We would like to remind you that tickets are $12 presale and $15 at the door, with proceeds going to support the restoration of the Kenbridge Recreational Center. Presale tickets can be ordered from PWR or KRC at City Hall.

The event will feature singles and tag team action, as well as a Triple Threat match for the PWR Heavyweight Championship! Come on out as we close out Halloween with a SLAM!
