OUR FINAL CONCERT is one we'll always remember. Not only did we have one of our largest crowds in our 23-year history (250) at First Baptist Dresden, but we also had in the audience some of those who have been our most dedicated supporters and sponsors. We also had dear friends, family and several former DJC members. We can't thank you enough for being there for us, especially during a busy holiday weekend. One of our most cherished "non-singers" in the chorus family, Didi Johnson, took these concert photos. They capture this very special evening well. Thanks for the memories, and God bless you all.

The David Johnson Chorus wraps up its Farewell Tour
After Twenty-three years of entertaining audiences from Washington, D.C., to Atlanta, St. Louis to Utah, and across the state of Tennessee, The David Johnson Chorus will bring down the curtain for the final time this spring. The award-winning choir, based in Northwest Tennessee, will give ample opportunity to hear them one last time, as they are performing in Memphis, Union City, Humboldt, Dyer and Dresden, TN Murray and Fulton, KY and Senatobia, MS.
Director David Johnson, who resides in Mckenzie, TN said this has been a very emotional time for everyone in the group. Many have formed very close relationships as the have sung together, traveled together, and shared joy and sorrow. There was never going to be a time to end the chorus without there being a bittersweet tone to it. But for the past few years I've had in mind that I wanted to end on a high note. As I told the chorus, "I don't want people coming to a concert and saying to each other, "I remember when they was really good". I want us to go out singing strong. "And when people come hear us this spring, they will hear one of the best and strongest sounds we've ever produced".
The songs selected for the farewell tour representing the wide range of music the chorus has sung over the past two decades: medleys by the Beach Boys, Ray Charles, and Richard Rodgers, a capella hymns and spirituals, Broadway hits, Disney songs, a couple of songs written by Dolly Parton, and patriotic numbers "Like Always", General Manager Gail Jercinovich, said, "this concert will have something for everyone. Audiences will leave with their hearts full and the spirits lifted".

AFTER SINGING at our two Memphis area venues today, we enjoyed a rare treat: to eat dinner at restaurant as a chorus family and take our time, savoring each moment together. We could not have chosen a better place — Coletta’s Italian Restaurant in Bartlett. After our incredible meal we sang for our awesome waitresses, Coletta herself and others at the restaurant, making more cherished memories. We appreciate chorus member John Johnson for suggesting this wonderful restaurant.
