Spooky 👻 flower fact about snapdragons!!!!
Snapdragons dry out and appear like skulls because the dried seed pods left behind after the flower dies naturally take on a skull-like shape due to their structure and bilateral symmetry, with the flower's petals forming the skull's facial features when they dry out; this is a natural part of the snapdragon's life cycle to protect the seeds until they are ready to disperse and grow new plants.

💐💐 Petal It Forward 2024 💐💐

Yesterday was such an amazing day! I had the pleasure of surprising folks in both Pinckneyville and DuQuoin with flowers as part of the initiative, and the smiles were absolutely priceless!

It was a busy afternoon spreading the joy of giving and receiving flowers. There's just something magical about how a simple flower can brighten someone's day. 🥰

I’ve already had a couple of people reach out wanting to be sponsors for next year, which is incredible! That means even more joy and beauty to share with our community in 2025.

What is Pedal it Forward???
The Society of American Florists hosts Petal It Forward to demonstrate the positive health benefits of giving and receiving flowers, and to spread joy!
So once a year florists go out into the community and pass out free flowers to people we see. 🫶🏼
They get two bouquets. 💐💐
One to keep for themselves and one to Pedal it Forward. 🥰

I am so sorry for the inconvenience. I had to close a couple minutes ago and come home because I am not feeling well. My worker called me last night because she was sick and unable to come in today.
I will have the phone on until 2 PM taking orders for the funeral service tomorrow, I will be going back in later this evening after I feel better to design for the funeral service.
I had a couple people stop in and they both prayed for me, and I appreciate that so very much!

It was an absolute honor to design the funeral flowers for Fred Huff, a man who was truly a pillar of our community—many affectionately called him "Mr. DuQuoin."

I first met Fred earlier this summer when I delivered flowers to his home for his sister, Carol. From the moment he invited me in, I could feel his warmth and kindness. We shared a lovely conversation, and it was clear we were kindred spirits—he loved to chat just as much as I do!

What made the experience even more meaningful was discovering he was friends with someone who holds a special place in my heart.

I hope the flowers brought peace to his family. I wanted them to reflect Fred’s vibrant spirit and the love he had for those around him.
It is my sincere wish that when his family looked at those arrangements, they saw him in every petal.

It was so much fun teaching the Mumkin class last night!!!! Thank you ladies!!!
I absolutely loved the flowers y’all gave me!! Such a sweet gesture!! A flower from everyone!! As a florist I never get flowers so this was such a sweet surprise!!!!! 🫶🏼
