The City of Powell held Development Committee and City Council meetings on September 3, 2024. Here are the highlights:

Development Committee Meeting:
☑️Discussed the Shared-Use Path Masterplan
☑️Reviewed zoning code updates
🔹Deer and wild animal feeding prohibited in the City
🔹 Modernizing the processes of giving notice to cut grass
🔹 Updating requirements to apply for a zoning certificate
🔹 Amending downtown parking regulations to allow standalone public parking lots
☑️Discussed establishing a Community Reinvestment Area in northern Powell

City Council Meeting:
☑️City Council authorized a comprehensive study of the 32-acre Bennett Farm Property which has the potential to enhance our park system and provide critical trail connectivity along Powell Road.
☑️ Annexed 1.8 acres located at 3164 Rutherford Road into the City of Powell.
