Things get pretty quiet around here in the winter/off-season, but one ongoing project we love to support is Dubuque Winter Farmers Market!

Did you know that Dubuque is one of the only places in Iowa with access to fresh healthy local foods from farmers markets YEAR ROUND?! Well we are!

Shop directly from local farmers every Saturday, 9am-noon at Kennedy Mall.

October was WILD!

We said goodbye to this year’s Millwork Night Market season (which also won a Dubuque Main Street award for best downtown event??!! 😱🥹🫶).

We helped some amazing couples tie their knots in gorgeous, unique, and intimate ways (and even got to attend a wedding as a guest 😍💃).

We helped Dubuque Museum of Art raise close to $200K at their annual gala and art auction (yes, that’s the mayor riding an e-bike around the Roshek lobbby 🚴‍♂️😂).

And we tried to find time to be silly with friends and be still in nature to recharge, even with schedules make that tough sometimes.

What a privilege it is to have the best job in the best place there is!

Now, we will sleep for a month (til A Merry Millwork Market pops off, that is 🎄💝).

We are SO excited for this weekend, as Dubuque Museum of Art reflects on 150 years of Dubuque history, and looks forward to its next phase of building a new museum campus.

Join us at the Roshek building lobby this Friday night, from 6-9pm for their Dubuque Museum of Art Gala: Reflections! It has become THE party to go to every year!

So if there's no running, what exactly are you going to be doing on Saturday at the Zero K? We’ve got some super fun activities planned for a gorgeous fall day!

1. Enjoy a brewski beer (or two) from Dimensional Brewing Company, obviously.
2. Take a load off while you browse the books at the River Lights Bookstore reading nook.
3. Challenge your buddies to a game of bags.
4. Fuel up by purchasing a coffee or breakfast from Galena Roasters Coffee Shop or hot dog from Hot Diggity Dogz.
5. Get spooky with a Tarot reading from Phoenix Rising Healing
6. Flex your brain muscles at the puzzle table.

If all else fails, there’s a park across the street to enjoy. Bring your hammock (but don’t fall out like I did!). That’s pretty much the opposite of running.

We LOVED the intimate wedding these two hosted for their closest friends and family. Building a venue from scratch is never easy, especially when it involves opening up your entire home to lots of people. We think they knocked it out of the park!

It’s always a good day to visit Loras College!

Today I had the honor of speaking with social work students about building community.

Event production involves bringing people together for a common purpose. This point naturally led us into conversations about assessing and finding resources, the importance of culturally significant customs, inclusion, taking risks, and giving your time/talents/energy for others.
