O So Good Winery this Friday 6-9pm
So I'm kinda disappointed we don't have a bigger group learning to paint glass. This is such a unique and different project. I have looked for years! Seriously years for a nice vase at an affordable price. These types of projects are more work for me on back end and material are more money but I wanted to bring something special to you. I hand prepare all backgrounds. I only can do that while weather is good outside. So the window now is closed. I have only prepared 6 vases.
If you want to learn on glass please let me know. I'm not sure if it was location or day or time that was a issue.
Please always feel free to tell me that stuff when you see events. If it was something I thought a bigger group wanted in Dubuque I would create It. 😃
I put these vases on my counter and they are like nightlights I leave on or in a bathroom or wherever.

Anyway still a opportunity to come Fri if you can or I'm offering canvas choices as well.

OK y'all Old Chicago is confirmed for December 7th 6-9pm!!!
In honor of my 10th year in business we are going to have a special holiday party!
I'm going to have fun prizes and treats! I'm just feeling so festive this year!

Hey its a festive time of year!
I painted this yesterday. Nutcracker on canvas.
If you'd rather paint a canvas than the tall wood one now you have a choice. Plus look at all the fun jewels, glitter ribbon and fun stuff you can add! This canvas is very large but a smaller size can be done. Price changes with different canvas sizes.

I created a stencil for face to make it a but easier. Canvas will be pre drawn!
It's a painting class. I don't want you worrying about drawing!

I've been in the studio painting last couple days!
Once and a while I take on a special project for someone. I have a hard time saying no ;)
A lady brought me a large hand blown ornament. Very old. She had broken 1 of 4 that she purchased on Germany over 35 yrs ago on a trip for 25th anniversary. Her husband is now passed. All tge ornaments depicted a season. The fall ornament broke. All she could do was telle a description. No pictures for a reference.
All I knew was it has a lady raking leaves, a cottage or homestead, it had fall trees and some sky. It was old fashioned looking like old times. Soo this is what my brain put together.
I have probably spent over 40 hours researching and 10 hours painting. This is how I work. When it's something special I can't just wing it. It takes so much thought and consideration. This is why I don't really do commissions that often.
I'll get paid $40 for ornament and hopefully client will be over the moon. However I don't get compensated for time I have put in.
Being a creator doesn't always pay alot. It is rewarding. I know it helped my brain be challenged so that's good.

I just thought I'd share this special project! :)

I didn't take alot of pictures during our fun crafty night at Natural Nectars but we had a great time. These ladies were so very creative! Love the different color choices!!!
If you haven't been to try a kava drink I would recommend it! Thank you for hosting and all that participated!

Another fun pumpkin painting night at Old Chicago! Pet Med coworkers getting to know each other better! Team building, work parties are a great and fun way to relax have fun and get to know each other. Thank you for choosing Create It!

I made my first QR code !!! 🤣 hey I'm a 1 woman show. I have taught myself so many things in business that I never knew I'd need or do! Question? The code I made goes to the event page. Should I have it go to my phone number to register or tge event??
I thought event so maybe people would check out other things? New customers are always great.

Please text or message to sign up for any of my classes. Either way is just fine just as long as you personally reach out. This way I can keep track of attendees! I'm old school! This has worked very well for years. However I may soon add a pre payment. I have had to many cancelations. This really effects my business, the venue that I'm working with and if I need to hire a support helper. We all rely on the numbers that I'm recording. I understand life happens, illness, children ect. But just not showing up or canceling a whole group because you wanted to do something else really hurts this small business. So please be mindful of the ripple effect it has.

I deeply appreciate and am grateful for my customers and love providing you with fun classes at cool places. This is an amazing job!
This is how I buy food, gas, groceries ect for my family. It's not a hobby. I'm only saying this because I get asked that regularly.
This is my job. This holiday season I make the biggest portion of my income.

Hosting a private party, coming to one of my events and sharing them with your family and friends is helping this small business and my family thrive.
