Friday, 10/6, at Fitger's Spirit of the North Theatre is short and sweet with Youth Shorts Film Block at 4 PM; 2023 Festival Standouts at 5 PM; and This Absurd Life at 7 PM. Zeitgeist's Zinema 1 shows off the shorts It's in the Water at 6:30 PM, and If You Seek a Pleasant Peninsula at 8 PM. Zinema 2 has the worldly mix of International Shorts at 7 PM.
Saturday, 10/7, keeps 'em screaming for more at Zinema 2 with Horror High Showcase at 4:15 PM. Spirit of the North Theatre shows how to work those shorts with Crisitunity at 7 PM. Cue the Strings - a film about Low follows the entire career of the iconic band and tells the story of Low Co-Founders Alan Sparhawk and Mimi Parker by Director Philip Harder. Low and Harder made music videos and short films together, filming on ice, in railroad yards, and in rapidly disintegrating rooms. Don't miss this emotionally compelling film, which the Pioneer Press said, "...will leave fans with both a smile and a lump in their throat."
