Our Story

Superior Ballroom Dance Studio opened in September 2012 when Andrea Kuzel, a top ballroom instructor and national champion moved to Duluth. Upon finding there were no certified instructors, Andrea quickly moved her dance partner, Darren Franco, up to Duluth to start a studio that offers high quality ballroom dancing. They quickly started choreographing wedding dances, bringing students to competitions-- and coming back with champions, and hosting galas, balls, and performances of all kinds.

Seven years later, and now in the historic Norway Hall, our team is excited to welcome you to the Superior Ballroom family. Let us give you the confidence to dance like everyone is watching!
