This year, we have made a point to source many of our flowers have from LOCAL farmers! We loved being able to use florals from farms from in our branding shoot. 🌸🩵We are always excited to partner with our local growers and see what's been growing in the northland near Duluth! 😍

Some of our farm-fresh favorite cuts from this summer include::

Cosmos, Snapdragons, Scabiosa, Bachelor Buttons, & Zinnias. Most recently, the dahlias we recieved from were a GAME. CHANGER. 💐

Fall bouquets are so much fun because of the endless texture possibilities!My friend Makayla had THE hardest time choosing what to put in her wedding bouquet, but new she wanted something large and textured. Lucky for me, every time she saw a new fall bouquet on pinterest she would zoom in and screenshot a bloom or combo of foliage that were "her new favorite"!

Thankfully, fall is a time to embrace moody tones, rich textures, and a healthy mixture of blooms.

✨🌸 Delivery is super important to us, and sets us apart from other floral teams.The one non-negotiable on our contract is our full-service delivery. Delivery helps us ensure that your vision on paper, and the product you and your guests get to see, match to a "T"!

So often, clients want to leave an element of DIY for the morning of, sometimes because they feel they want to keep busy, other times for budget reasons.

In our experience, however, watching a bride or groom worry about who is setting out which items, trying to assemble an arch, or trying to decorate tables in between getting ready and photos can add so much unnecessary stress to the day!

Your vendor team should be a trusted group of people that give you a FULL SERVICE experience -- that includes delivery AND set up! Big installs, placing centerpieces, checking over bouquets, securing arch pieces, and adding accent florals should be left to the professionals to ensure all of it looks mint!

We want to take care of you and your blooms!

And, selfishly, being able to present your bouquets and wish you well on the day of is the "cherry on top" moment for us after all of the time spent perfecting your vision!

We don't expect you to know every single bloom in God's creation (that's why you hire a team 🤓), but being able to describe things you like are super helpful to us! Here's a few things to consider while brainstorming the floral aesthetic for your day:

💐 You could go by the latest floral trends that keep appearing on Pinterest or even something you saw at a friend's wedding that you absolutely love.
💐 Maybe there's a sentimental flower, such as the flowers your grandma had in her wedding. ♥

💐 Consider the shape and style of the bouquet inspo you're loving! this can help to narrow things down-- (traditional, wildflowery, gardeny, inny-outy, modern and flouncy, etc.)

💐 Sometimes you can choose to be limited by color, or a specific color palette. Or maybe you just really like a certain flower, and that determines what style or colors you'll use!

Located in downtown Duluth, MN, Superior Blooms offers full-service floral designs with a unique local flair. A division of Northland Special Events, Owner, Mariah McKechnie and her mother, Sharron began designing florals for weddings in 2010. Today, the duo loves creating floral arrangements for both special events and retail at their Superior Street location.
