It worked!!🌸🌿🌸🌿

Time to get these dahlia tubers divided and in the ground!

We experimented last Fall after digging the dahlias by leaving more soil on the clumps rather than washing them clean. Kraft paper was used to line the bottom of our sweet corn crates and the tubers were covered with old burlap bags.

Dahlias will be included on the DIY FLOWER BAR beginning mid August until frost during the weekly Thursday Markets on the Farm

We are excited to announce that Wheatfield is taking its hairstyle game to the next level with DREADLOCKS!

This newest heirloom variety features stunning ropes of knobby magenta flowers up to 3 feet in length!

Dreadlocks amaranth will join the DIY FLOWER BAR at the Thursday Markets on the Farm beginning early August.

The Flower FarmHers are busy preparing seeds to send to the greenhouse this week. We can't wait for the tables to be bursting with blooms in July!!

Remember Thursday, August 24th, 2023!?!

We moved the market up on the lawn under the shade trees & adjusted hours to 9am to 1pm due to the heat index warnings.

The high temperature at 2:57pm was 97°

Thanks to Farmer Bob and Grandson Robert the cattle are all bedded, fed, cozy & comfortable as we prepare for some dangerously cold wind chills the next couple of days.
