A/M Photography Reliably and affordably servicing SW Colorado’s Youth Sports Portraits

AM Photography started business in the early 1990s, but it all really began when Everett “Andy” Andrews opened Andy’s Photography in the early 1970s. Andy’s Photography took most of the portraits marking many memories for the Durango and outlying communities for over 25 years. After the sale of Andy’s Photography, Andy and his wife Mary started AM Photography and documented the participation of ma

ny of the area’s athletes. From football and volleyball in the Fall to track and baseball in the Spring, AM Photography photographed team and individuals for many of the schools in the Four Corners area since 1991. In 2008, Andy sold AM Photography to Kipp and Tammy Schreiner making sure that they stayed consistent with the image quality and clarity which earned him first name status throughout the area. Kipp, Tammy, and their daughter Bailey inherited Andy’s commitment to quality, and work to capture crisp, vivid images of groups and individuals, but more importantly to catch the special personality of each. After “The Schreiners” purchased AM Photography they expanded the business to include numerous youth sports organizations, special events, and portraits in naturally lighted settings. They have experimented with custom sports situations, such as documenting team photos and candid action shots into posters marking team participation and distinction in major events - for example the NCAA II Super Regional golf competition. Basically, AM Photography enjoys a reputation of capturing the moments which make life fun.

Last Saturday marked a historic milestone for Durango, Colorado, as we celebrated the inaugural youth baseball opening day! 🎉 Capturing the spirit of our young athletes through professional photos fills me with pride, and I can’t wait to snap more memories throughout this exciting season. Opening Day 2024!
Thank you to the players, families, coaches and umpires who showed up to celebrate! Coach Ward Lee's family, County Commissioner Matt Salka and The Ice Cream Lady were special guests. Sadie Hanson brought the house down singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." We had so much fun honoring all of our sponsors, especially our Founding Partners: A & L Distributing, Alpine Bank, Bank of Colorado, Mining Equipment and LPEA.
