Hey, y’all. 👋

We’re DeeDee Gallegos & Brina Dutton, co-hosts of Mighty Moms Podcast.

We are both MOMS of boys on the autism spectrum.

Tad (DeeDee’s son) is 16 and Owen (Brina’s son) is 8.

We met two years ago through serving on the board of a local non-profit for autism, The Owen Foundation where Brina is the Founder and DeeDee is Board President.

We realized that every time we got together, we could literally go on for hours about autism related topics.

We jokingly said, “We need our own podcast!”

I say, jokingly, because raising our boys on the spectrum is a FULL TIME job, in and of itself. The idea of adding ANYTHING else to our plates was overwhelmingly and ridiculously funny.

Then, in early 2023, we were invited to be guests on a podcast, Marci in the Middle to discuss “autism”.

It was AMAZING.
It was REWARDING.
It was a BIG confirmation.
It didn’t feel like WORK at all.

What we felt the MOST was an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and excitement because we KNEW our words were reaching the EARS and HEARTS of other MOMS living our same lifestyle across the world.

It was then that we began our journey of preparing to LAUNCH our show, Mighty Moms Podcast.

Neither of us knew anything about starting a podcast business and it’s been an interesting journey along the way.

We have already learned SO MUCH.

We have put in a LOT of work, countless hours and heartfelt efforts to make this DREAM become a reality.

When GOD gives you a work to do, TRUST US, he will open doors, connect dots, put the right people in your path… ALL the things!

We have the most AMAZING producers we could ever ask for, Daniel Canler and his beautiful wife and business partner, Sierra Canler who are not only talented artists, but share our LOVE for Christ. They see our vision and they believe in us, always encouraging us when we are faced with obstacles.

We read a quote once that went like this:

Your first workout will be bad.
Your first podcast will be bad.
Your first video will be bad.
Your first speech will be bad.
Your first article will be bad.
But you can't make your 100th without making your first.
So put your ego aside, and START.

And that’s EXACTLY what we did!

So to all of our fans and followers, near and far, THANK YOU for supporting us from the beginning. We are speaking FAITH that our podcast will not only grow to be heard in all countries, but also that we each will individually GROW and LEARN so much in this journey of building a strong, powerful, POSITIVE autism community.

Episodes 1-4 will launch November 21st.

✨Hey there! I thought it was time for an updated introduction since we've had a name change recently!

I'm Tara Metts! I'm the owner of Pretty Little Things, formerly known as Magnolia Events. I started Magnolia Events back in July 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic! Many thought I was crazy, but over the past three years, I've had the privilege of beautifying around 200 people's events, and to top it off, we were honored with the Small Business of the Year award in 2022!

I've lived in Southeast Oklahoma for the majority of my life and have been planning events for as long as I can remember, professionally since 2012. When I decided to go full-time and start a business, I knew that I wanted to give back to the community, so that's always been my goal. I've been a member of the Chamber of Commerce since 2021. I was in the 2021/2022 Class of Leadership Durant, I serve as the secretary for Durant Main Street, and I'm on the steering committee for DYP Social Club.

If you were to ask me what my favorite event I've done is, I couldn't tell you! Every event or party I do is special to me because I feel blessed and honored to take part in helping people create memories. However, the Magnolia Festival is always one of my favorite annual events because they give me so much creative freedom. Each year, I try to create something more impressive than the year before!
