This holiday shopping season has been a bit quieter than years past. Shopping small and local means more than you know! January is a class inspired by paintings from the Dutch Masters. There will be instructions on some of the principles of design, floral placement and flower conditioning and care, plenty of hands-on design time, and delicious gourmet food and drinks. There will also be a photographer on hand to capture your beautiful arrangements that you will be bringing home with you!
February will be our chance to celebrate love and create arrangements inspired by red and white flowers along with some red and white wines!

One of our favorite things about the holidays is these beautiful, and very special , amaryllis bulbs! We collaborate with our friend and Chapel Hill flower farmer Bobbie of . She hand picks these beauties and gets them started for us as well as potting them and adding the special details with some moss and the pinecones. They are back in the shop and we will be adding to our collection over the coming weeks.🌲💐⚘️☃️❄️🌟

I can't believe it's the week of Thanksgiving! What a year it has been, and as we enter this time laden with expectations and memories, be kind to yourself. I am trying to be!
These workshops, making beautiful things with folks who join us, are one of my favorite things this time of year. It brings me joy to see all of you and get our hands dirty! If you are having a hard time, connecting with your creativity and nature are 2 easy ways to soothe your soul. Come and make something!

I will never get over these colors. I just love them so much. We are prepping for weddings this weekend, creating beautiful arrangements and bouquets for delivery and finishing up our holiday decorating. We will have lots of flowers next week for your Thanksgiving tables! You can call the shop or place an order online.

Being a grandparent is pretty great. Our capacity for love as beings is so great, because you just keep opening your heart. My love for my kids is pretty fierce, and the grandchildren have increased that 10 fold. It's so wonderful!

Good morning! It's been a busy week! I have had 2 best friends come into town for different reasons, but the benefit is I have gotten to see them and spend time and get hugs. I have also crossed some big things off of my list, and it feels really good. I'm trying to remember to celebrate that instead of just moving onto the next thing. I was able to treat 2 of my wonderful designers to a lovely workshop, , and it was magical. So many good things!
Celebrate your good things today. Even if you don't feel like it , celebrate you.

The holidays are right around the corner! We had such a wonderful time at our open house style workshop yesterday. It's good to BE BACK! I'm back at teaching all of you how to make something and watching you get creative. It fills my heart right up! So, take a pause during this upcoming holiday season. Come into our peaceful shop for a heartwarming afternoon or evening and get your hands on some fresh seasonal greenery and pinecone, dried fruits, and ribbon.

Enjoy these colorful flowers, and remember there is light and so much love in the world.
I have wallowed plenty this week, believe me. Tears have been shed, and despair has been an irritating companion, but resignation to this situation is not an option. Helping each other is, resistance is, gathering and activating is , resting is.

We are hosting a new event this weekend on Saturday. You can stop by, try some of delicious and nourishing teas, and make a small dried arrangement in a vase. Take some time for yourself and create something. Sharing what you need to or just spending time with a friend is good medicine. It's tomorrow beginning at 11:00 and going until 2:30ish. You can reserve a spot and prepay or just drop in! We have plenty of dried flowers and there will be plenty of tea!
