Duke Arts Annex Admission and materials are free to all current Duke students. The Arts Annex is the hub of Duke's student art scene.

The Arts Annex is the hub of Duke’s student art scene and houses studio arts (including ceramics, screen printing, and visual arts), rehearsal, and programming spaces. This space is home to rehearsal, studio and programming spaces for student artists and organizations. The Arts Annex makes the arts accessible to all Duke students by providing increased resources, enhanced programming, and a welcom

Meet Raksh*ta!! She has been working at the Arts Annex since she was a freshman and loves getting to know the patrons and staff here. She is involved with and has been dancing since she was 8! Her post-grad plans include either working in the fields of refugee or housing policy. Raksh*ta hopes that the Arts Annex continues to grow in the future 🌱 We are so proud of you and you will be missed 🥳

In addition to arts activities throughout all of the Arts Annex we will have live music, djs, dance workshops, demos and an Arts Resource Fair! Thank you to everyone who has collaborated on bringing back the Arts Annex Open House celebration! See you all this Sunday from 1-5pm at 404 Gattis St. Don’t forget to take the bus or park in the Smith Warehouse parking lot as the Arts Annex parking lot will be used for the Arts Resource Fair and accessible parking. We are looking forward to creating art and building creative community on Sunday!

Next up in our meet the team series is Michael!!
Michael works the front desk and can often be seen skating around the annex 🛹 He’s been working here for 2 years and will be graduating this semester with a degree in computer science! Michael hopes that in the future, the Arts Annex will be “an even more wide-scoping space! Whenever people ask me what art I do, skating is my first answer, because it is my form of art.”
