Hello Friends!
I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry for the delay but we wanted to give everyone an update regarding THE BAMBOO COOKHOUSE AND TEDZ WHEELCAKES AND MORE. 2020 was supposed to be a great year for us! Like every other food truck, we worked so hard in filling up our calendar with events/festivals that normally takes at least six months to apply. We managed to fill our calendar with big events and festivals including multi-day out-of-state festivals. From the start, we prided ourselves on being an owner-operated food truck. But the wind was quickly gone from our sails when the pandemic hit. When schools went to virtual only and our child had to stay home and do remote learning, we knew it was going to change things. With no childcare help and without having a strong support system locally, we were forced to put the business on hold and find other means of income. My husband turned to real estate while I took care of our son’s needs. Our family stayed cautious as immediate family members have underlying conditions. While home, I didn’t stop thinking about what my next move will be once we open the business back. It was only when I realized after the pandemic that the food truck industry hasn’t been the same and I knew it wasn’t going to work for me at the moment. So, I started freelance job when our son went back to in-person school. Now, I’m working on opening an online small business called TEDZ DESIGNS. I’m anticipating launching the online store in about 2 weeks or so, but I will be doing a pre-launch days before the official launch of my online store for all who subscribe to the website mailing list (please visit my website to subscribe). As our son gets older, we may reignite our food truck dream but with events still struggling, we are excited about the new chapter.
