On this Memorial Day 2022, we remember the military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice on behalf of our country. Since World War 1, the red poppies that grew then in the fields of Flanders in Belgium have become the symbol of those who have fallen. We honor and remember those brave service people.

The team at Ninth Street Flowers is at home relaxing on this Memorial Day holiday, but we look forward to seeing you in the shop or hearing from you when we return tomorrow.

Our ‘Rainbow Roses’ arrangement is perfect when you can’t decide on just one color. The color assortment creates a gorgeous display. We use only the freshest roses, to ensure long lasting enjoyment of our arrangement. That’s why you’ll occasionally see a bucket of roses on our sidewalk, free for the taking. Those are the roses, though still pretty, that no longer meet our standard of freshness.

We always have a variety of long stemmed rose colors in stock, so if this isn’t your favorite palette, give us a call and we can combine roses in your choice of colors.

Lilies in the Meadow’, featuring bright yellow local lilies in a field of blue Iris, is always a good idea. There aren’t very many truly blue flowers, and the blue-violet shade of Iris flowers is one of the closest approximations.
