The wonderful aspect of our gowns is we allow modifications. She wanted a square bust line with chunkier straps. And she loved the way the lace mimicked the form of a butterfly in the front.

We are thrilled to be opening a formal dress shop to the heart of Dyer- the north side of Sheffield Ave. And the best part of all, our hometown. We are excited to bring a unique custom designs formal dress shop to the Dyer community and surrounding area! We will be selling for purchase custom designed dresses along with the sisters exclusive wedding dress designs, Mother of the Bride/Groom dresses, prom dresses, formal dresses, veils, jewelry, and more!

We also are excited to now offer exclusive world renowned designer Yulia Lobachova formal dress line- Ricca Sposa! Christy is super excited to offer her favorite wedding dress designer to the Dyer community.

Our shop is conveniently located just 1/4 mile south of the new Dyer/Munster South Shore train station and the St. Maria Goretti Banquet Hall.

If you haven’t heard by now, we’re the Osterman sisters, Amy and Christy. We were born and raised in Dyer, IN and attended the beloved permanent fixture on Rt 30, St. Joseph School.

Our late mother had such a dynamic personality and absolutely LOVED to make her daughters and Christy’s daughter, Isabelle, handmade clothing items..in particular little girl dresses!

Fast forward to high school, where Christy discovered that she too, loved to make clothing items. However, she loved to make everyday clothing and loved to sketch different designs that she could envision. Then in her early 30’s, she met the lovely lady, Amanda! Amanda (born and raised in Highland, IN) lived in Saudi Arabia for many years teaching English to the children of princes and princesses of the royal families. It is there where she learned the “ins and outs” of the wedding dress world. She traveled to East Asia and beyond to find the best wedding dress manufacturers in the world. That knowledge she also passed onto Christy which she is forever grateful! And ever since, Christy has been borderline obsessed with all things encompassing bridal gowns! Christy has designed custom wedding dresses for women around the world- from Australia to Canada to here in the states.

Christy also designed her sister, Amy’s wedding dress. Amy knew from the moment she learned her sister had this talent, that she was going to have her sister design her wedding dress! Amy knew exactly what she wanted and knew Christy could pull it off. Amy’s dress was stunning to say the least.

Since then, Christy’s had the privilege of designing custom wedding dresses for brides worldwide! And now, the sisters wanted to take the leap into a brick and mortar shop offering more than just wedding dresses. We have decided to give our customers what they have asked for over the years. A brick and mortar store front!

We are excited to announce that we are moving to a new location. We are expanding and details are coming soon! During this transition we will unfortunately not be accepting any appointments at this time. We appreciate your patronage and patience during our transition. Stay tuned for our re-opening day❤️

Update: We signed a lease and are ready to begin the transformation. The most exciting part, is that we will remain in Dyer. We have a lot of work on getting our new location ready and we cannot wait until we are ready to reopen.

Fiona reached out wanting a custom design wedding gown. She knew exactly what she wanted for her dream dress! She wanted an open, keyhole back and added a unique hidden feature to her gown...pockets! She chose the lace for her gown, including the length of train and a hidden zipper with pearl buttons as another added feature to her gown!!! She looked amazing in her dress and was such a gem to work with.

Our Story

We are two sisters, Christy and Amy who specially design custom wedding dresses and each dress we help create has a unique story. Our story happened in 2015, while Amy was planning her wedding. She felt overwhelmed, especially when it came to her wedding dress. Having a tight budget and not being able to afford what she liked in her price range, added to her stress. Christy came up with the idea to research wedding dress seamstresses that had a well-known reputation throughout the world and decided that creating a custom design gown was not only affordable, but gave her the ability to design Amy's gown to match her personality (Amy’s wedding dress pictured above). As word traveled about Amy’s dress, soon the sisters were designing gowns for other brides to be.

Because of their great success, 2 Sisters Bridal Gowns was launched in 2018! Both sisters have unique talents that adds a bit of spice to their business. Christy is the charismatic sister! At a young age, she was fascinated by fashion. She enjoys designing a wedding dress to fit her customer's personalities, interests, favorite colors, and culture! Amy has a science and dance training background and is the traveler, who has visited Europe, Africa, and Mexico, to name a few. She enjoys cultural diversity and enjoys implementing cultural themes into her brides wedding gowns!
