Mya, Skylar and Whiskey were the goodest of good puppers! 🐶

They were all so excited to see their mom and dad all dressed up. A bit too excited and a little camera shy to sit still for pictures at first but then we finally got the hang of it! 📸

The second picture melts my heart how Mya looks at her beautiful mama! 🥰

Half of the inspiration behind Barks & Bow Ties, the weenies! 🤩

So let’s do some introductions —

Mr. Otis, more popularly known as fat boy around our house, is my first baby. He just turned six in December which is so hard to believe because it feels like yesterday that I was picking this little round doughball up. He was the missing piece that I didn’t know I needed when I was finishing grad school.

Wittle Leo or mister lover boy is my sweetest little babe. He would seriously give you kisses all day long if you’d let him. And he is the biggest cuddler ever! He’s been the best last minute, impulsive drive to St. Louis birthday present for almost three years — my summer baby.

These two boys definitely keep us on our toes with each of their huge personalities but nonetheless, they’re our world! Mom & dad are so looking forward to having them in our wedding day celebrations next December! 💕

i’m so thrilled you’re here so thank you so much for liking and following our page! i cannot wait to share all things barks & bow ties with y’all!

for now, here’s a few fun little facts to get to know me:

+ recently engaged and marrying my best friend december 2025 🫶🏼
+ i love christmas and the holidays in general, hence the december wedding ❄️
+ i’m obsessed with our two doxies, otis & leo. they will actually be little ring bearers for our wedding 💍
+ i love to travel! i love seeing new places, meeting new people and experiencing all the things. farthest i’ve travelled is melbourne, australia. ✈️
+ as a former athlete, i am very superstitious and have to do things a certain way and in a very specific order — that may be a little bit of my ocd though but i love routine😜
+ if you love greys anatomy as much as i do, we’ll be besties for sure! 👩🏻‍⚕️
+ i call myself “auntie” to quite a few little ones but will officially be a first time auntie here any day now! 💕

I’m over the moon thrilled to introduce y’all to Barks & Bow Ties, a wedding day pet companion business!

Jumping in and starting to plan our wedding, I quickly questioned who we would have to take care of Otis & Leo because everyone who typically would watch them would be celebrating with us on our big day! And I’m so thankful for friends who inspired me to bring this business to life by also creating their own — shoutout .il 🙌🏼

Whether you need someone to tend to your furry friend(s) during the ceremony or need someone to show them off during cocktail hour and/or your reception, we can absolutely tailor your services to meet your needs!

I am so excited to be jumping in with both feet — or four paws — on this adventure and spend time with your furry family members on your big day because let’s be honest, they are just as important and need someone trustworthy and reliable with your babies! 💕 I will be offering this service based out of two locations — eastern Iowa and central Illinois!
