Since 1978 we have celebrated holidays, births, weddings and other special occasions with you. We have laughed with you and we have cried with you. We have made lifelong friends with customers and we have made lifelong friends with employees. We knew one day this would end and the last three years we have spent positioning ourselves for this day. We are super excited about retirement.
We are selling the assets and the only thing left is to clean out the building and get it ready for lease/sale. Thank you upstate for believing in us and supporting us.

flower shops get VERY dirty and unfortunately we no longer have time to do our own cleaning. I AM AMAZED that she removed a year's worth of dust and foot traffic and dog nose prints and...in FIVE hours. I don't easily hand out recommendations but Lori deserves it. Home or business. You will be happy. I guarantee it.

Our story

Val’s Flower Shop was founded in 1978 by some New York residents that decided to settle in this area. Val and has wife owned and managed the shop until 2004 when they sold it to a hometown girl, Michelle, that had grown up getting her flowers from Val’s Flower Shop. Almost 15 years later it is still going strong.

Michelle is a graduate of Clemson University and her education and experience is in the accounting/finance field. But many years ago she decided she was best suited to own and operate her own business. Val’s Flower Shop was not her first foray into the world of entrepreneurship and has not been her last. Even though she has other business interests, Michelle is still actively involved in the day to day operations of Val’s.

When Michelle is not working, you can often find her at home working on one of her many home improvement projects. She shares her home with Ben, Sam, Jesse and Pete and is a lover of all God’s creatures. In her free time, Michelle loves many outdoor activities including bicycling and kayaking and also loves to watch college football.
