We are a small farm located in East Bend, NC. Land that has been in the family for 5 generations now grows sunflowers, zinnias and wildflowers.

Well, tomorrow will bring our 2024 sunflower season to a close! We had a few great sunsets and some even greater people that have came out and took on this terrible heat to get some great pictures and pick some flowers! We had hoped to stay open all week but the flowers just aren't having it. If you haven't been out yet, you have today until sunset and tomorrow 4pm until sunset. Thanks!!!
🌻🌻ATTENTION PLEASE🌻🌻 The fine folks over at Serenity Ridge Farm are dear friends of ours and having a vendor event Saturday, July 13th. Part of the proceeds will go to benefit a young boy and friend of theirs recently diagnosed with cancer. Let's show some support and help this young man out!
Since having this flyer done we have added more vendors, coming to a total of 30!!! I’m amazed by the goodness of God, and I truly believe we are going to have the best time!! Bring your kiddos for some fun, your wallets to shop, come hungry, and then wind down from 4-6 p.m for some great live music by Brett Cox!!

Ok folks, the rain has moved off for a bit but the radar for the rest of the afternoon doesn't look promising. We are going to be CLOSED for the rest of the afternoon! Hope things look better tomorrow! Opening at 4pm!
🌻🌻We open at 2pm today🌻🌻 A big thanks to everyone that braved the heat yesterday and came out! We still have all of our sunflowers in bloom! Also, The Tipsy Tag Along - Mobile Bar Adventures will be joining us this afternoon! So come out and get some of their fabulous drinks!
🌻🌻🌻🌻Today is going to be a show!!! Talk about a field of yellow!!! We have vendors starting to set up! We were also fortunate to have Shelton Brothers Antiques join us! So bring some extra cash if you love ANTIQUES!!!
🌻🌻Here are all the need to knows for Saturday and the following week🌻🌻
🌻 We open at 10am on Saturday, 2pm Sunday and 4pm the following week. We close at sunset.
🌻 Admission is $5 for ages 8 to 64. 7 and under, 65 and over, military with id are all free. Sunflowers are $1 per stem. Cash is preferred but we do accept Venmo.
🌻 A wagon ride will run every 45 mins to the sunflower field. Or as needed. It is a 3/4 mile trip and you may walk if desired.
🌻 Please bring your own clippers and something to put your flowers in. Ours are limited.
🌻 Pets are allowed on a leash. Please clean up after them.
🌻 PAY AS YOU LEAVE for your entry fee and sunflowers you pick. It is less transactions. This does not apply to vendors.
🌻 PHOTOGRAPHERS- our rates are $25 an hour. You and your clients will need to ride the wagon to the field. Or walk. We only provide wagon rides during our open hours. Your clients will be responsible for their entry fee into the farm. We will not be scheduling any time slots. There is plenty of room for everyone. You may do photography anywhere around the farm.
By next Saturday this field should be nothing short of spectacular! So mark your calendars for July 6th at 10am for our opening day! We will have wagon rides and opening up all of our farm for you to explore! VENDORS This year we had initially decided not to include vendors on our opening Saturday but we are putting last minute feelers out if anyone is interested. Just shoot us a pm. We have plenty of space for setup inside and out. The major difference this year will be a 3/4 mile distance between the parking area/barn and where the sunflowers are. We WILL provide a wagon ride back and forth during our open hours. Or you may walk if you'd like. Hope to see everyone soon!
🌻🌻🌻Time for another sunflower update🌻🌻🌻
So, it looks like the deer will be leaving us with around 11 acres of sunflowers💁♂️. These last remaining sunflowers were not originally going to be part of our flowers that would be accessible to the public soooooo there is limited access. It looks like we will be offering wagon rides to visit them though. Although you will still be allowed to make the 3/4 mile walk if you wish. This field also runs along side the river, so it should be some awesome photo opportunities! All this should still be happening around mid July. Thanks and we will still keep updates coming.
The deer are taking a terrible toll on our sunflowers. As I expected. Depending on how much more they eat this month will determine if we will open in July. It is beyond frustrating but part of life living along the river.
🌻🌻🌻🌻HERE THEY COME!!!!🌻🌻🌻🌻. The sunflowers are up and growing. Despite the need for some sunny days! HOWEVER, we are already seeing a very unwanted presence of deer!!!! Which I expected 🙄. We are hoping they will leave us some for a spectacular July show!!!!
Photographers, a couple of reminders. Our current photography fee is $25 an hour. We accept cash or venmo. Please message us to set up a time and see about availability. There are a couple areas that have been used for photos in the years past and they can be seen. As they are well worn down. Please try to avoid going into the flowers any deeper than this. These flowers are planted as a back drop for weddings. And that is our first priority. Photography is an added perk we like to provide for our photography friends but not the main reason they are here. Thanks for reading!
Also, don't forget to join us this Saturday the 11th for a wonderful time filled with great local food, music and great fellowship from other Yadkin River supporters. Tickets can still be purchased from the Yadkin Riverkeeper website. There will also be a wagon ride provided to our river access where you can learn a bit about local history as well as history of the Yadkin River. Hope you can join us!
Time for the weekly flower update. The wildflowers are super full but still have lots to bloom out. I've included a panoramic of the wildflowers and also one of a couple of our sunflower fields. Which should be popping through the dirt any day!

🌻🌻🌻🌻2024 Sunflowers are in the ground!!!🌻🌻🌻🌻 27 acres to be exact! Somewhere around the first part of July it should be getting very yellow on these hills! Hopefully everyone is as excited as we are to be bringing them back!

Grooms, don't worry! We have a place for you to relax on your wedding day! Porch sit a while or enjoy a game in the ac! These first few weddings have been pretty but with these flowers opening more every day, they'll only get more beautiful!
Attention photographers and guests. Now that the flowers are rapidly blooming, we are seeing increased traffic here at the farm. At this time, we do ask that you kindly refrain from entering the flower field or picking the flowers. As enticing as it may be. We must leave these flowers standing for all of our numerous clients that have weddings here this year. Also, PLEASE check with us before visiting or scheduling photography sessions. Most Fridays and Saturdays are closed to the public for weddings with various other events scattered here and there. Thanks for understanding!

Here are the wildflowers currently. Not as thick as spring but there are a few up for the ones asking.
One of the least fun things about having a venue is maintenance! Especially the roof on a barn that's well over 100 years old. We try our best to provide a drip-free event but sometimes it happens!
We installed a sign today here at the farm for the new Yadkin River State Trail mile marker system. Yadkin county is a pilot project for these signs and hopefully in the future they will be there to guide you along your river adventures. If you don't already, give the Yadkin Riverkeeper a follow and stay up to date on all the good work they do for our beautiful Yadkin River.
