Everything about this dining room reception was so classy! A 14 person catered dinner, flanked with summer meadow themed table arrangements, taper candles and glam touches. The perfect blend of formal and wild.

A couple more of Carly & Jackson because this peach tree is just beyond stunning (bummed the Instagram framing crops the long frame photos- sorry Logan!) and it’s helping to warm over my January heart. I can almost taste Summer looking at this August Orchard wedding album. It will come again!

An Alternative Funeral: Custom Memorial Service Alter piece complete with fern & foliage reception arrangements at two stages of life transition. Yellowed wild ferns with live Queen Anne’s Lace greenery and then completely dried wild ferns & dried wild Queen Anne’s Lace.

I really loved creating this job. Black Locust bark has so much texture and spirit to it, it felt perfect to use as a base for this piece. There is never any life lost without color in it and that was something I really wanted to express here. In grief there is always light. 🕯️

Kate & Harry, August 2024. This couple kept it really simple and sweet with the flowers for their wedding. They opted to go a-la-carte with just a personalized bridal bouquet, boutonnière and a bucket of diy cut flowers for their reception. For Kate’s bouquet, her mother in law contributed an Ivy cutting from a plant propagated with the Ivy from her own wedding bouquet. 💕 I’m all for focusing on just a few special pieces!

Happy New Year! The word I am choosing for 2025 is Expansion. It implies, growth, openness, newness and grandiosity, all of which we’re embracing over here at Lucia Rising Flowers!!

If you missed the memo- I am now offering my florist services year round! What does that look like you ask?

I’m operating with a flower delivery & arrangement minimum of $150 and a suggested lead time of 1-2 weeks. The large Birthday arrangement in this image is an example of an arrangement that would meet this minimum. I’m not doing smaller one-off bouquets and arrangements at this time but will update in the future if that changes or I have an excess inventory of flowers available.

Dramatic Custom Wedding Ceremony Arbor with coordinated flanking aisle chair flower arrangements for the Binghams, September 2024. It was spitting rain the whole time I was building the Ceremony Arch and then, Voila! The rain cleared in time for the anticipated event. We love that.

Happy Holidays to all those who know that while food nourishes the body, flowers nourish the Spirit. ✨ 💐

I’m getting a little weepy over here looking at all the images I snapped this season of my Subaru full of buckets of freshly harvested flowers coming out of the field and then all the crates full of bouquets going out to market. When you’re in the go-go-go of the thick of the season it’s hard to see it all. I’m so proud of the volume, variety, textures and colors I grew this year, and really grateful for how supportive growing conditions ultimately were for me on my little rented plot on a hill in Dummerston. Thank you to everyone who participated in my CSA, ordered bouquets or arrangements, had me design their wedding, elopement, memorial, or bar mitzvah flowers, picked up bunches from my ladder stand on Route 5, or came out to the this Summer, it means so much to me that I got to share my love with you in the form of flowers. 🥰
