Did you know that if you want to successfully grow ranunculus you need to start them in mid-winter? Years ago when I tried to grow them (unsuccessfully) the bulb supplier would only send them to me in the spring. I now know, that’s too late to plant!!!! Ranunculus need a period of time to establish their roots in cold conditions.
If you’d like to get the inside story on how to grow these babies, join us for our “How to Grow Ranunculus and Anemone” Class on Feb 4, 6:30pm at the Flourish Barn! We’ll walk you through how to start and grow ranunculus and anemone as well as provide you with the forms to start them yourself and grow them in your garden. To top it off, we’ll make a simple arrangement with ranunculus and anemone from our wholesaler for you to also take home!

No words for last night other than it was so special to share it with everyone who came. After our regular activities with the floral demos and the craft, we had some special quiet moments by the fireplace. We listened to a story and sang some carols together. A moment to pause together in this busy season- priceless.

Tuesdays are a strong farm crew day here at Flourish. There are 5 of us and we get lots done together. (Ruth, Nettie, Sylvia, Kim and me, Trish). We each have our zone in the garden that we take care of individually and we work together when there are big tasks to be done. I’m so thankful for all of them- there is no way I could do all of this myself. 🙏💕😊🌹🌸💐🌷

In addition to our grab n go bunches in the cooler, we also have straight bunches (one kind of flower per bunch) and potted tulips set up at our new flower bar! All flower bunches are $20 each. The potted tulips are priced as marked, from $39 and up. (These potted tulips are a great option for your deck or porch if you didn’t get any planted this past fall!)
