Echoes of MMUP 2024 - Chibi Café is the perfect setting for the happy sounds of The Pocket Joys. They are gaining notoriety, recently having developed music for Albie’s Elevator on PBS. We are lucky: they are so committed to MMUP, they make the journey from Philly!

Echoes of MMUP 2024

2nd Wind has a great origin story, but even better than that is the way they have developed a repertoire and a sound that people love to hear. They are getting around too! Recently, they played a Christmas event at Glick's Poinsettia Show.

Echoes of MMUP 2024 – we’ve been so fortunate to have Funky Frets engagement at MMUP. They have led ukulele workshops for all ages over many years, and encouraged budding musicians to give it a try. We love the audience participation portions of MMUP and Funky Frets has been generous about sharing their time, talent, teaching, and tools (ukuleles).

Echoes of MMUP 2024

Glenn M. Pritchard had a unique presentation for the audience, taking them on a musical journey through the ages and eras of musical styles. It’s always interesting to review the evolution of music that shows how we got from there to here. And guess what? If you didn't get to go on that journey on June 21, you have another opportunity on January 11. Go to the Upper Perkiomen Valley Library at 11 a.m.

Cliff Stackonis is another generous talent who shares his musical chops, his sound system, AND his technical skills. He had some great numbers in his set. In addition to performing, he also did sound for all the musicians at Abella Specialties. If you are lucky, you can find him performing in a few other spots nearby.

Echoes of MMUP 2024 - TC3 knows how to combine their musical skills to create harmony and melody that sets off each of their instruments and voices to a beautiful whole. They are also versatile musicians! When the T of TC3 was not well on June 21, the 3 managed to go forward with their music anyway. They are out and about in the towns nearby. We are always glad to have them on the MMUP schedule.

Echoes of MMUP 2024 – Speaking of gifts (and we were, weren’t we?) John and Leanne Andersen have the gift of their talent, and their long relationship with one another that makes their songs really sing. While MMUP celebrates the gift of music, it's folks like John and Leanne who bring it to life!
