Hello flower friends. Hard to believe it's been a year... and what a year it's been. Hope you are all well
Friends, I have some news…..
Recently, we received an offer on the property here on Burnside Ave. This was not something we anticipated or were actively looking for, but nonetheless, it’s something that was presented to us. After much consideration, sleepless nights and a lot of discussion, we have decided to accept it and sell the property. In doing so, we have also decided to close the flower shop as well. During these insane and crazy times of Covid and with so much uncertainty for the future, this allows my parents to fully and comfortably retire. Additionally, I feel that it’s time for me to make some changes. Please believe me when I tell you that I have struggled with this decision, but I honestly believe that it’s the best decision for me and my family and it was not made lightly. My heart is breaking apart but I’m also excited for a new future and a new adventure, whatever that may end up being.
(Un)Fortunately, the people buying the property are extremely anxious to close on the deal and are moving very quickly. We had originally anticipated finishing out the year, but that doesn’t seem possible at this point. As it stands now, our last day open for business will be Sat. Nov 14 and then we will be closing (and cleaning out .. so much cleaning out. 60 years of cleaning out). We had hoped to be part of your Thanksgiving table and Holiday gift giving one last time, but we are unable to do that. I’m really sad about that and am trying to see the bigger picture.
We have been a part of the East Hartford (and beyond) community for over 60 years. We are proud of the flowers we’ve shared with you and how we’ve been a small part of your big events. We cherish the customers who are now dear friends and appreciate the trust you’ve put in us for so many years.
