Archery hunting is now allowed at the Bohemia Equestrian Center from Oct 1st-Jan 31st. See map below for designated areas.
There is one sign for hunters parking which is located in the parking lot parallel to the main arena.
Judging by the map, hunting seems to be mainly to the left of the facility itself. Please keep in mind that the BEC is technically over 300+ acres. I do suggest that if you are concerned to wear orange during those months when you ride and/or call SCP directly to file a complaint.
What I HIGHLY suggest is everyone who rides at ANY Suffolk County Park, to purchase your horse permit YEARLY. Numbers speak volumes.

Many of you have emailed & called inquiring if we have wiggle room for ticket sales even though we are sold out.
Unfortunately we do not. The venue, at max, holds 250 people & we cannot exceed that.
We are very sorry but this is out of our control. We have looked at larger venues however the Board of Director’s felt it was not a good fit for the membership as ticket prices would be astronomically higher than they already are. We do our best to keep prices as low as possible for all of our events.
For anyone who has bought a ticket(s), if it comes down to it that you are unable to attend, although tickets are non refundable, please reach out as we may have someone interested in purchasing the ticket(s) from you.
If you are unavailable to attend the IHA Annual Awards Dinner Dance & won an award/ribbon, please reach out to the respected committee to arrange pick up. If someone is attending the awards dinner, whom you’d like to take your award/ribbon home with them, we require a letter stating you give permission for said person to take the award along with your signature. Without a letter no award/ribbon will be relinquished.
Also, please note, no one will be allowed to enter the venue unless you have ticket in hand this year.

IHA GENERAL MEETING
THIS TUESDAY AT THE BOHEMIA REC CENTER 7pm
Guest speaker will be Barbara Cross. Topics include:
In hand development, compensation patterns, bio mechanics and correct posture.
IHA will be hosting a 50/50 fundraiser to help raise funds for our long time member Cindy Laskow.
Cindy recently has been diagnosed with cancer which has unfortunately hindered her ability to teach lesson along with be as active at the barn as she normally is. Sadly with any diagnosis comes the astronomical medical bills.
Money raised will go to Cindy to help pay for the medical bills she has encountered during this tragic journey. The winner will be picked at our Annual Awards Dinner on November 17th.
