RARES is the acronym for the Regional Area Recreation and Employee Services Association. RARES is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit, member-supported organization dedicated to promoting Employee Services and Recreational programs as an integral factor in sound business management principles and workforce readiness initiatives by providing education, networking and resources to those of you responsible for employee morale programs.
Employee morale managers typically work in the human resource departments of organizations. They are responsible for managing employee services, including recreation programs, community services, recognition programs, event planning, childcare/eldercare services, convenience services, and travel offerings. Employee Morale and Recreation Association exists to enhance the employee services profession through education, peer networking and discounts on products and services.
RARES is an association of more than 450 member business organizations exclusively supported by membership dues and income from activities related to the provision of member benefits. And as a result of this association, voluntary membership is extended to the 334,000+ employees of our authorized General Member organizations. Our employee association provides its membership a number of benefits including RARES provides employers and organizations with a comprehensive variety of discounted employee/member programs. We do this by acting as a catalyst for implementing various activities (such as educational sessions which are generally free for our membership to attend), events, and special offers that would be beneficial to our members. We allow smaller groups the opportunity to provide their employees/members with the large company benefits, and we work with larger companies to tailor programs designed to meet their individual needs. The discount program you see featured here on the web is perhaps our most visible, but not the most important component of what we do. Above all, RARES is dedicated to improving the business conditions in the communities we operate within and in integrating recreation and its benefits into the benefits programs of member companies. Our common interest is in promoting the business climate within the area we serve and we do that by furthering the Human Resources and Benefits communities of those businesses. Through our members such as Consumer Credit Counseling (another not-for-profit) and the Graham Law Offices, we also further the education of our individual members and the public in the intelligent use of credit.
