e Officer assigned to nights and investigating the most serious and fatal traffic accidents - a solemn job devoid of joy. While performing at this social event, Dodge was surprised at how engaged the children were - laughing and applauding and asking for more! Seeing seeing the joy in their eyes brought joy to his own heart. He knew by the end of his performance that this was the beginning of his entertainment career. Dodge went on to join Clowns of America Inc. and The International Brotherhood of Magicians, and studied the arts of Magic & Clowning; he was a magical consultant for the documentary film 'Fast Games, Fast Money' - about the street games of New York City (the film won the prestigious Rose Bud Award!); and has been featured in PEOPLE MAGAZINE, Readers Digest, various TV News programs, newspapers, and magazines, including Baltimore’s Best. Today Dodge can be found 'clowning around' hospitals and pediatric facilities as part of the Big Apple Circus 'Clown Care' community outreach program and brings the joy of classical circus to children who are hospitalized in the area.
