A year of life.
A year of challenge.
A year of gratitude, joy, and beauty.
A year of loving my job.
A year of uncertainty.
A year of being a full time mom and running a full time business.
A year I’m very proud of.
A year of little sleep and lots of coffee.
A year I will never forget.

I went a full year of not sharing any of my photography work outside of becoming a mother. These were just a few of the beautiful people that were part of my life for the past year and I love them all dearly.

Last weekend I ran into my high school photography teacher while walking around the farmers market. She was one of my favorite teachers. Developing black and white film quickly became my first love and she was one of my biggest cheerleaders. Reconnecting was super special to me and I believe equally as lovely for her too. I thanked her for being a huge inspiration and catalyst in my photography career. She was super grateful for the acknowledgement and it now has me feeling very reflective on how many people have supported me in my 30 years of life.

The number is uncountable but incredible to say the least. I believe we all wouldn’t be where we are today if it weren’t for every human connection we’ve made in our life, whether it served us or not, became friends or went separate ways, fell in love or loved someone just because. It’s pretty incredible to think about. It truly takes an army.
✨
Here’s my note to being more conscious and verbally sharing with those in my life and around me, how grateful I am for their support and presence in this world. Hopefully this gives you a little light and inspiration to do the same.
