The Global Dharma Conference (GDC) is an initiative of the Hindu Students Council. Every GDC aims to explore, experience and express the concept and meaning of "Dharma" in various walks of life - from Science and Spirituality, to Environment, Family, Society, Religion, etc. - in order to achieve harmony at the individual, societal and global levels. t limited to "That which sustains the natural order of things", to "The universal principles, laws and duties that bring peace, harmony and progress." GDC 2015 is an experiential event bringing together college students, young professionals and others from around the world for 3 days of thought inspiring sessions, blissful yoga and meditation sessions, fun-filled dances and vibrant performances. Top spiritual leaders, celebrity guests, speakers and performers will convene and share their wisdom, experiences and talent with the attendees. GDC 2003 brought together 2000 people from 20 countries and 70 universities and featured world renowned speakers such as former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, Mr. Bawa Jain (Secretary General of the UN World Council of Religious Leaders), HH Shankaracharya of Kanchi Peetham, HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj, HH Swami Dayananda Saraswati, Former NJ Governor Jim McGreevey, Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. David Frawley, Nobel Prize Nominee Dr. George Sudarshan, Dr. Subhash Kak, Hollywood Actress Goldie Hawn and many other luminaries.
