To bow or not to bow!?

I’ve gone back and forth in my brain about this. I adore a good bow but to keep costs to our customers manageable, we’ve never included bows in arrangements. We use really nice ribbon at FIELD and there are a number of customers that have shared with me that they keep and reuse our ribbon (love, love, love this)! If a customer asks, we’ll oblige but it’s not standard.

But…don’t you just think it adds a lovely touch?

We’re at it again…selling pumpkins! Back in the day 😉 when 524 Main was , Kimberly graciously hosted Morgan & Moss and we sold our pumpkins in front of her boutique! They were a huge hit and ever since, we’ve wanted to bring them back. These GORGEOUS gourds are ready for their new homes.

It’s Liz’s favorite time of year for floral design as the colors are intense and rich. You can see the transition to Autumn in the blooms and foliage, the leaves are painted, the veining more pronounced, the petals vibrant. It’s just so good.

It’s not too late to register for our floral crown class being held at the shop THIS SUNDAY. The crown bases and flowers are sourced from as well as the inspiration for this workshop. These beautiful pieces will last for many years to come and are the perfect accessory when celebrating something special.

The second crown class is scheduled for Sunday, September 29th and also has some spots open!

Holly and her beautiful bridal attendants. She filled out our wedding/event inquiry form, we chatted a bit and met for a few minutes to discuss her colors and vision. Green, peach, terracotta, hints of rust. After leaving me with her invite as inspiration, we had a clear understanding of what she was envisioning and just look at the gorgeousness that we created together! We adore our brides!

FIELD•WORK workshops for Fall are LIVE and registration is open.

🍁 Our very popular pumpkin & skulls is back as is the living succulent pumpkins, which both sold out last year. We’ve added two Thursday morning classes for the succulent pumpkins, so drop those kiddos off at school and come to FIELD for coffee, pastries and pumpkins!

Our NEW classes:

🍁 Dried Flower Crowns inspired by our friends over at , where we’ll use all locally grown flowers to create an incredible headpiece.

🍁 Hand-Tied Bouquets using flowers that you bring from the grocery store! We’ll have greens and accent blooms available as well, but want to provide you with all the skills you need to take those ugly plastic wrapped bunches and make a beautiful gift.

Basket of blooms using all sustainable mechanics. Simple, sustainable and stunning. This week has been about learning how uncomplicated it truly can be. Learning and unlearning, I suppose. Shifting the way we’ve been taught and expanding our “tool box” by literally putting away some of our most loved tools/mechanics. I’m so inspired.

Prom. Tis the season. Our focus since Mother’s Day has been corsages and boutonnières. Lengthy phone calls with moms who want to get it just right for their daughter or son. Hands on customers that visit us in the shop to pick out their own ribbon (pro tip: we LOVE this approach and encourage you to do the same). Online orders with notes about dress colors and ultimately trusting us to match it as best we can. Emails with dress pics. It’d serious biz around here.

One trend that I absolutely adore and has been very common in the South and other areas of the country are dance bouquets or as we call them “prom posies”. A bouquet instead of a wearable corsage. Love, love, love! We made a few this year and I highly recommend! A group of Senior girls even got together and DIY’d them…brilliant! ()

This is Charlie B. One of my Charlie’s first childhood friends and neighbor. His mama () now works in the shop and I was so lucky to collab with her and Charlie’s date and ADORE that color was on the menu!
