What a beautiful and unique exhibit, that we have on display through January 25. This exhibit celebrates Indigenous talent while fostering collaboration, unity, and mutual respect. Stop by on Thursday, October 16th for the Opening Reception beginning at 5pm.

Join us for the opening reception of Building a Bridge, taking place on Thursday, October 16th from 5-7pm. Guests will enjoy light bites, drinks, and a special tasting of a traditional dish: corn soup.

We are proud to present Building a Bridge, an art exhibition that brings together Native artists from both Official State Recognized Tribes and Federally Recognized Tribes. This unique exhibition, on display October 1 through January 25 at the Kress Pavilion in Egg Harbor, celebrates Indigenous talent while fostering collaboration, unity, and mutual respect.

“Corn soup sustains us, the corn and beans are part of the Haudenosaunee creation story, this meal is a symbol of our resilience. Corn soup is made with heirloom dried white corn prepared through nixtamalization, then slow cooked with beans and a protein, often turkey or ham. The process of making corn soup is a true labor of love for Mother Earth and the people.”

This symbolic food offering enriches the cultural experience of the evening and underscores
the values of connection and respect at the heart of Building a Bridge. As part of PAI’s Rotating Indoor Art Program at the Kress Pavilion, Building a Bridge
continues the commitment to presenting diverse, thought-provoking exhibitions that connect the community with artists of all backgrounds. Through rotating displays of local, regional, and national talent, the Public Arts Initiative aims to inspire dialogue and foster inclusivity through public art in Egg Harbor year-round.
