Dear Ruben,
I hope this finds you well. As I sit down to reflect on the incredible journey my wife and I have had together, I felt compelled to reach out and express my deepest gratitude to you for the role you played in shaping our story.
It’s hard to believe that thirteen years ago on the 11th of February, you stood before us and helped us make the most important commitment of our lives. At the time, we were both still teenagers—immature, uncertain, and full of hope—but you guided us with such wisdom, kindness, and understanding. Your premarital counseling was truly invaluable. You didn’t just help us prepare for the ceremony; you gave us the tools and insights to build a strong foundation for our marriage.
You took the time to listen to our concerns, our dreams, and even our fears, offering guidance that has continued to shape our relationship over the years. We may have been young, but with your help, we learned the importance of communication, compromise, and unconditional love. I often think back to those sessions, and how they set us on a path we’re still walking together today.
Our love has grown and changed in so many ways, but the principles you instilled in us have been a steady guiding light. We’re incredibly blessed to have had you by our side that day, and we are still grateful for your support all these years later. Thank you, Ruben, for marrying us and for investing in the future of our relationship.
We owe so much of our happiness and stability to your guidance, and we’ll forever be thankful to you for helping us build the foundation of our marriage. We still have the shoebox in our closet with those letters you asked us to write in case of difficult times and thankfully, it’s covered in dust and has never been opened.
