After attending the Rolling Stones concert in Phoenix back in May you knew it was coming! The July 2024 album of the month is Hackney Diamonds. Our favorite tracks are “Sweet Sounds of Heaven” (featuring Lady Gaga) and “Angry”. Come pick 'em on Vinyl Vednesday at Cabbage Shed on July 3rd (after the cabbage eating contest)!!!

Hackney Diamonds is the twenty-fourth studio album by the English rock band the Rolling Stones, released on 20 October 2023. It is the first album of original material by the Rolling Stones since 2005's A Bigger Bang and their first since the 2021 death of drummer Charlie Watts, who contributed to some tracks in 2019. The album features guest contributions from Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman.

4th ANNUAL CABBAGE EATING COMPETITION

How much cabbage could you eat in 4 minutes?!??! 🥬

Wednesday, July 3rd at 3pm we shall see!!!

Four Men and Four Women will compete to raise the belt of champions and claim the title as Benzie County’s Cabbage Eating Champion for 2024. We will also welcome back the children division as well, so we can remind those kids to… “always eat your veggies!”

We will be collecting money at this fun, family event to help support our Elberta Community Farmers Market which features local food and goods every Thursday at Elberta Penfolds Park 8am-Noon all summer long.

Following the event, DJ TJ Vinyl will be spinning for some Vinyl Vednesday music action. 🎶

Over the next few weeks we will introduce you to the competitors and learn more about these local celebrities, and business owners.

This event is such a fun, wild, and entertaining day. If you haven’t been, mark that calendar because you won’t want to miss this! 😉
