Do you do milestone sessions with your kids? We don’t always, but turning 13 felt like a huge moment for our Clara girl — one we needed to capture. To make it even more fun and meaningful, she had the photo shoot with her lifelong best friend, Zoe, who also turned 13 just a few weeks before.

What are wedding preparations but real connections, shared laughs, and hearts overflowing with gratitude and anticipation?

This series of images of Clara and her mom capture a mother preparing her daughter to start a life with a man who is madly in love with her. It’s an honor to do what we do!

Perhaps because our oldest daughter is also named Clara, and perhaps because she turns 13 next week, I am feeling this images today.

Each part of the wedding day is precious and we get to document it all. 🖤

Today, Katie is a nationally published photographer, brand manager, photo editor, chief sales officer, and primary client consultant. It is sweet to see young children involved in the wedding day, and Ian and Jessie certainly made their nieces and nephew feel special and involved.
